I have been on Silver Singles for over a month and am not interested in meeting any of the men that get in touch with me. They dont fill out their entire forms so there is very little info to go by. Most of the older men (65 and older) say they are gym rats and fit, love to go fishing, play golf, hang at the beach and drink wine. I don't think so! How boring! Waste of money!

I'm trying to cancel silver singles. They have NO CONTACT PHONE NUMBER. My account was scammed. I had a person who was a diamond dealer from Ft. Pierre South Dakota who strung me along. After cancelled meetings she sent a request for 12000 pounds, running short of money 😄😄on a diamond buying trip to London. There is nobody to contact personally. Total garbage. I wouldn't recommend.

From a 68 y/o man's perspective, if it's clear you don't take care of yourself and look like that at 55 you won't be getting matches or interest. Men are visual and can see if a woman has health problems, first of all overweight. This tells us that there are bigger and bigger problems very quickly down the road, could be laziness. If that is your choice just get a couple of cats. Guys who take care of themseleves do that not just for vanity but because we are relied on as providers/protectors, the ones who make you feel safe, and maintain their status among other men. Men will deal with problems not brought on by behavior but understand that the behavior of women who don't take care of themselves manifests in many other ways, they will be more trouble than benefit to us.

One one hand, I agree with you that some seniors don't want to date people that look like seniors (in particular, from watching my STBXW only like the hottest, youngest-looking guys on the dating apps she's on). But I also disagree in that I personally find I like dating 50+ women who actually look like they might be over 50. Regina, I'm not saying you look "over 50" but I do wish you were close to me and liked me on Bumble because I'd totally like you back; you're cute as heck.

By absolute chance I met a lovely lady of 79 years my second to last day on SilverSingles which was her first day on the App. I'm a widower of 78. Her photos made her look younger and I was shocked on meeting that she looked her age it was almost over before it began but we soon realized that our ages didn't matter so much and we both got over it and have a good relationship. I advise to avoid the shock and go out to a real meet and greet in you community where you see your intended in the flesh. Avoid online dating.

Don't join Silver Singles. I recently bought a 3 month subscription. 1 month in, just when I was connecting with someone and making plans to meet, they suddenly blocked me entirely from the website, sent me an email saying I had to send my photo ID and/or drivers license to them to be reinstated, and also sent the gentleman I was talking to an email saying that I was being investigated for a 'fake profile'!! Side note, the email from SS says they are located in Berlin, Germany. I did not send my DL to them! They said they were refunding me, but they did not so far. I don't know what their game is, but I have to ask who are REALLY the scammers here! My profile was not fake, and I am not a scammer, and yet I"m sure they sent out an email to anyone I had messaged with, just like they sent me when they were accusing others of having fake profiles or being scammers!! This company is not trustworthy.

Attractive people in their 50s-60s will still do well. You can ask men who are in their 20s but are short and balding and they will tell you that they aren't getting matches. It's not an age thing - it's about how attractive you are.
