Dota growing and Evolving is nothing new but always a pleasure to witness. I'm pretty sure the update that introduced Talent Trees was inspired by Heroes of the Storm and now the introduction of Facets and Innate abilities breathe so much life to the game.

The complexity of dota is not only about the heroes complexity, which is already the hardest among other moba, but the complexity of dota mechanic is also adding to it, even for me it is more appealing than heroes complexity. The timing of camp stacking, high-low ground rule, ton of items which make a reguler default hero into a completely new hero, and many other dota unique mechanic

3:25 little late, but anyway. Combos in dota really rely on your build. With void spirit physical build you dont use your 2nd spell because you will do more damage with basic attacs or/and manta style item. With that combo you do more damage and still have one more skill for escape

I'm not super active dota player, but I've been playing for 2 you and I have 750+ hours. I knew most of the rules but only followed a few. From now on, I will religiously follow those rules to compensate

Dota kits is balanced around their kits. You cant break the game without the items. Alot of heroes even have Many passiv or Long coldowns for spells. So when items gets picked up. It fill the space the heroe cant do.

Everything in Dota2 can be counter. You have very good physical dps -> Good, i disarm you, you cant attack -> You can counter that disarm somehow -> Good, im invisible -> You waste 1 slot to detect me -> Good, im become ghost, evade physical damage ......etc

This is one of the reason why dota fans and community still loves dota even only less than 3 new hero added in every upadate but ton of item and mechanic change and additional that make newly fresh meta thus making different kind of playstyle for almost all heroes in every update. That make all heroes in dota are playable and not just old antique display which if some are picked will trigger tantrum from some teammates for their out of date playstyle. Mechanic update is much better than just adding new hero tbh

As a dota player. It makes sense. It can attract league players to try dota i guess? I played League way back 2015 but didn't like it the way i love dota. Once you tried dota u never go back. As an old player with a small family and a little time to game. Dota gives me all the thrill i look for in a game.

I went straight from new player games to all pick, and it was night and day. My highest rank in League was Gold 1 ADC and Gold 3 one tricking Riven. The back timings and/or courier timing I think is fucking me. I don’t know when to courier and ward placements.

Invokers ethos is that someone wanted a hero that could be as difficult as microing meepo across fhe me map but with only one single unit... And he should still be viable and fun at lower levels. And dota succeeded. Invoker is powerful and fun at all levels of play with skill ceiling almost as high as a hero that is 4 heroes in one.

remember some hero can add more skill with aghanim and shard. also some champ like tinker arc warden and lonedruid are item hero the 3 use item more than whole 7 other hero combine in combat. if the other hero even have 6 slot cast item they still didn't match those 3 cast item

For LoL players, you can counter all of this with economy, items, playstyle, hero pick etc.
