Yup, glad I took music theory in college.

I wasn't able to keep up, much of fitting it all together is a bit beyond my understanding. You make it fun, I am certainly considering joining your classes though I'm not sure they're designed for someone at my juvenile level.

I know this video is a little older, and you may have done it already, but can you do a video on the importance of phrasing? For newer players. I feel like phrasing is lost to newer players, and they get stuck in the box. Maybe explain how to go about phrasing and explain that it's a conversation and the goal is to play like what you'd say to someone listening or also playing along with you. Good video as always, friend!

I've just read your bio on your website. I still have my SRV live at the El Mocambo VHS somewhere. I was 14 and I wanted a purple Les Paul and was barely able to make some arpegios... I've been a blues strat guy forever since! What a show! Changed my life too!

at the very end of day 2... when you make a track you say is in "A"... then 1) you put the diagram of the 6ths on there... I'm having a hard time understanding why the 5th fret is used for BOTH notes, instead of playing the 6th fret on the D string--- which would be a G#, which is in the "A" scale... is there something i'm missing about a flatted 7th?

Thank goodness these are posted videos. I think I rolled a 2, 3 and a 12 immediately today. Crapped out /Loser @ 13 minutes in today No ability to do this ‘fill’ activity. Will have to practice this for quite a while before I can participate (sounds very cool though for you guys with more skills) We’ll; at least you gave me a goal for 2025

couldn't make it live.. Watched the recording... On the Hendrix riffs, are you sliding (on every chord) from the II to the III on the root note string,(and does it matter in general where you START the slide from? or not as long as you are LANDING on the correct note? Also, when you are hammering on the double stops and pulling off, are you hitting the 2 strings equally? or emphasizing the string with the root (octave) on it? Great stuff, just trying to figure out WHY it works so I can translate it. Thanks.

Question: What are you using for the drum tracks? Beat Buddy pedal? DigiTech Trio Plus pedal? Or other? Any recommendations on Drum track pedals or drum tracks?
