hi, i'm making a shader where each object is getting scaled down to its own pivot point. However somehow even on simple mesh (2 cone), when it scaled down, it scale down to its object's pivot point. I have debug and found it's the texture problem. Since i have a working texture from the sample project. I wonder if there's anything i can do to fix it
Does this work with your own asset packs?
yes it does, but you need to have cusotm pivot data. Look up the Pivot Painter tools that Epic provides

It would be nice to see how this reacts to other things, not just the default mannequin. Like vehicles or animals. Just a little side note, because it is an issue for other similar things on the marketplace that I've seen before!

Hi Abey how are you?, how do I configure the parameters in UE4 to make it behave like a tree? I already did the parent to object and used the HDR normalized hierachy option, but it still behaves like grass. I also played a little with the options plant or tree and level bending, but it doesn't work as it should, please I need your help, thank you very much in advance.

btw there's no available "modify pivot" addon on the website, do you know where can we get this on 2021? is there an update on your video about the tree hierarchy that you said here?
I think that's because you can modify the pivot in blender 2.92

@@RastoDM You don't need the addon I showed in this video. the new versions of blender have built-in tools to edit pivots already

Hey this is really amazing! Could you please tell me on how you're setting up the pivots for the fuller trees. I'm using 3ds max with the Pivot Painter 2.0 Tool but struggling to align the pivot points correctly. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks!
So for trees you have to split the branches in levels, and each branch has to have it's X axis pointing towards the length of the branch. I'm not a 3DSMax user, so I'm not sure about the actual tool you have to use to edit the object orientation.
@@abeymiranda5457 I figured it out actually and now I have an other problem, the tree looks really bad from a distance in Unreal Engine 4 and I tried changing the Anti-Aliasing to FXAA and all but that only introduced new problems. Any tips for this would be really appreciated. But really thanks for the reply!
