I always go overboard with my white gelpen 😂 I feel it’s the most fun part of coloring together with adding glitter glue. ❤

What extenders do you use for your Albrecht Durers? I've really struggled to find ones that fit. I prefer those without that sharp texture at the grip, but at this point I just need ones that fit. The Derwent silver one does, but they are expensive and you can't buy them separately, only in a set with the small one.

If you use a blender pencil.. I use the Prisma but I think others like the Derwent would work.. it removes posca and gel pen without taking off the color under it. This has saved many pages for me when I did something I regretted.

I also don't like line drawings based on paintings. Jasmine Beckett smith does this as does selina fench. An acrylic painter would never draw on a canvas with graphite. We use charcoal and work it into our painting, either vine charcoal or pencil charcoal. Your instincts are correct. If I don't like a book I sell it back.

I found a new white INK, not gel, fine tip pen at Jet Pens when I placed my last order.. I have high hopes. It was designed to cover unwanted marks on white paper (um.. hello Mythographics) but many users were using it for highlights. The reviews were either "this is the best pen ever" or " it clogs".. but many said you simply have to wipe it off before you put it away which is totally doable. Will report back. Update: it's called The Deleter.. and it's no different than a Posca PC1-MR except even less pigmented, and messier. Totally not ink, just watery acrylic. Another disappointment, save your money. You can clearly see lines though one layer, and two layers are a bit better but get clumpy with too much texture to color or ink over smoothly. It was also subpar for white strokework/highlights because of an inconsistent flow. You never knew if it was going to give you nothing, or a puddle. I didn't even keep it, went in the trash.

I want those too. But at the moment I want the full set of polychroms a lil bit more. One day tho.

Why don’t you just do the black outlines in the smurf book? No need to colour if the outlining is what you find relaxing 😊

If it helps I recently did honey on the title page of the summer book.. and I added some Sakura clear glaze pen.. it really looks great, very realistic and sets it off just enough from the other elements without it being super obvious. If you have never used it before be sure to tip the page to the light a bit while applying so you can see it better when wet, being clear it's quite difficult to see if it's on evenly without the shine, but it's obvious if you miss spots once it dries and it doesn't layer on for a second coat as well as if you just get it smooth the first time. I love the clear pen, I've bought a couple for backup.. I use it on glass, water, eyes, mirrors, etc. Anything wet or shiny.

I actually love the "halo" effect on the space page where you missed with the distress ink... it makes everything glow. I thought it was on purpose.

Question: you use paper between pages, is that tissuepaper?

When you base with the tombow dual brush pants and go over them with the Albret pencils, do you only use the pencils dry over the Tombo or do you activate with water the pencils on top of the Tombo ink?

Exquisite pages! You mention using the Tombow brush pens quite often. How do you use them so they don't look so streaky, especially over larger areas? I feel like every time I try incorporating them I just can seem to lay down an even color application. I'll have to go through your videos to see if you have any color-alongs using them with pencil over top!

Ive been using and collecting prismacolors for 35 years. They have their flaws but i am a loyal guy. I have complete sets dating back to 1996. Some never used. Only now im considering a set of polychromos(yea getting😂). I recommend remember to have fun. Do you. Just do it with some prismacolors 😂😂
