So my R2 is completely dead. No input readings whatsoever. I used to get the halfway reading before on DS4 windows and it would work still for all games. GTA 5 was where things were screwed up for shooting I noticed, so I swapped to shoulder buttons and everything else was fine. Now recently, it's just dead. Not getting any inout whatsoever.

Did you make a video on the repairs of these controllers? I bought a ps1 dual shock controller recently and the start button is not working. I have opened it up and cleaned everything. I cleaned the board and contacts with ipa and still no luck with the start button.

You had a great video but there is one thing you left out I am missing a silver piece out of the battery chamber so the battery would just be sloppy

Advice: Watch the whole video first before following step-by-step. I probably skipped something but didn't realize I needed spare parts. I took my controller apart, tried cleaning the contacts with isopropyl, turned out the real issue was a metal contact on the plastic film broke and came off when I was cleaning it; I know it was already bad because the controller still worked the same when I put it back together. I went into two different local games shops looking for replacement controllers, the second family-run shop had the spare parts I needed for $5 CDN (I also broke a trigger putting the controller back together). Now my controller works great again! Way better than the $40 I would've paid for another used controller. :) Thank you! I did mark my controller a bit with the flat-head screwdriver and had more trouble with the triggers than the video, but otherwise great!

I have continuity on all four wires, problem is I don't know what they all should read. Clock/SCL (yellow wire) 2.1 Ohms; Power/VDD (red wire) 0.3 Ohms; Data/SDA (green wire) 0.4 Ohms; Ground/GND (white wire) 3.0 Ohms. These readings jump around a bit but the red wire is the most difficult to get a reading for, most of the time I get OL. Nunchuck isn't detected on any wii remote I plug it into and the console doesn't recognize it either.
