A 33 Adoption how a dehumanized process shapes the self-view as an object rather than a person.
In this difficult video we investigate how attachment trauma, coupled with a very dehumanized and impersonal societal view of the process and reality of removal and placement of infants and children. Creates the reality that the child living it will see themselves more as an object rather than a person. A more depersonalized view of self that is supported by the realty of how society dismisses what child removal and placement is and it’s impacts on those living with its aftermath.

60 Trauma & survival states and how we narrow our world to survive. The building of the walls.
Просмотров 12 часа назад
In this video we begin to explore the common realty that is natural and normal when we are living with traumatic experiences. the narrowing or simplifying to cope and to manage. The breaking down of how we see everything into the simple black and white, with very little grey. Even though this is normal, it still comes with a price. I hope that this video help to bring the awareness of the price...
A 32 Adoption, Cognitive attachment and how we heal attachment trauma.
Просмотров 1519 часов назад
In this video we go a little deeper not the world of attachment trauma from the perspective of adoption and long-term foster care placement. How we connect in those environments as well as how those connection is different from a biological attachment within a biological family. In the video it is stepped out in a way that hopefully make sense as this understanding is critical to working with a...
59 Fear states and attachment trauma. The feeding and reinforcement of trauma.
Просмотров 1119 часов назад
In this video we explore not only the connection between assigned fear and attachment trauma, but also how they are connected and how they feed each other through need and survival. We learn how assigned fear can block our efforts to connect as well as remind us that we need to have the layers of protection we created to survive. As our attachment experiences continue to remind us that we are d...
A 31 Adoption, cognitive attachment & how we can better understand it impact.
Просмотров 1714 дней назад
In this video we go a little deeper into understanding how a cognitive attachment leads gaps in connection, interaction and attachment, that are so often misunderstood by others. These gaps come from the lack of biological recognition in early attachment. The mannerisms, vocal tone, facial recognition, epigenetics and biological belonging similarities in behavior and response. That give a secur...
58 Attachment trauma, fear states and understanding how to work with them.

In this video we explore deeper int the lived reality of the two main fear states we experience. Learning how to recognize the two and thus enabling a far more effective way of working with them to improve the quality of life, as well as getting on the path to healing attachment trauma through the recognition of how we connect and the fear state that keep us separate. aboxwithnolid@gmail.com
A 30 Adoption, The difference between cognitive and biological attachment.
Просмотров 1721 день назад
In this video I go into the fundamental differences in the way adoptees and those from foster care, how we connect and for attachment differently. I raise the differences as well as look into ways of understanding how so often adoptees and those from a foster care background, how we are taken out of context when we try and improve how we connect and build meaningful relationships. This video is...
57 There are two types of fear states. So, what are the differences & how do we heal them.
Просмотров 1621 день назад
In this video we look at how most people don’t realize that fear comes in different formats. That our fear states require us to learn and understand the difference. Not just expect to simply face our fears and they will go away. We need to gain a true understanding of how these two distinctly different states feel, so that we can truly learn how to work with them to heal. Not without realizing ...
A 29 Adoption work on what you need to, starting with those closest to you.

In the complex world that is adoption, for most of us we just do what we can to get by and make a life for ourselves. Unfortunately, at some point we learn that our past is and will continue to affect the life we are trying to create and live. In this video I go into a viewpoint that you may find useful. Heal what you need to and start with those who are closest to you. They are your base, and ...
56 Trauma healing, when a protective shield is no longer a shield. The use of a Survival avatar.

In the world that is preverbal and early childhood trauma. We see all too often the reality of dissociative protection avatars. That is the persona we create to not only survive but to keep us safe, to cope and to survive. In this video we go into looking at how the person we created to survive trauma, and how this can very easily complicate things. Especially when working with others to heal o...
A 28 Adoption, kinks in the attachment chain, the ripple effects of our first biological connection.
Просмотров 34Месяц назад
This one was a hard video to make, simply due to how confronting this understanding is. But it is also a necessary video to make due to the lived reality of all involved. In this video we investigate what for many adoptees is their first connection to biological family. Their first-born child. We explore the implications as well as what we can learn from real experiences. So that we can not onl...
55 Attachment, understanding infant connections, to integrate what we learn into our physical being.
Просмотров 17Месяц назад
In this video we look a little deeper into how infant connections help guide our first neurophysiological steps. Giving us the support to learn the skills needed to effectively self-regulate the man developing emotions and responses we all have. Even when we don’t have the safe connections to our biological parents and family. We can observe in others the way this works, and how an infant learn...
A 27 Adoption and the depersonalized process that has created a societal belief.
Просмотров 41Месяц назад
In this video we again look at the impact upon adoptees and those who have lived the foster care journey, how we are seen when we have done nothing to create our circumstance. There is a embedded belief within society, partially fed by the industry that s child welfare and placement. As well as the depersonalizing of the reality child removal and placement has on the child. We did nothing to cr...

Our survival state has kept us going, and we need to respect that. But we can also work to bring in new inform...

I will write to you as soon as I can balance myself I’ve Never encountered anything like this Even in family constellation therapy I’m still reeling from finding this I’ll share this. I was adopted at birth I was protected ( too much ) and loved without ever being SEEN ! I have been needing this forever. Your work is SO MISSING from this life Bear 💔L 🇺🇸 Aug 17th

i’m a post-birth adoptee who knew my birth family and was put through the foster care system and eventually adopted at age 10, so these videos have been super helpful for me so far. i’m slowly making my way through them, and a lot of what you’re talking about really resonates with my experiences coming out of the fog and trying to figure out my next steps and how to heal and sort of find myself i guess. for so long my identity was repressed by my adoptive family to the point where i don’t really know who i am. and learning about all of this and trying to understand it definitely feels like a really good first step towards figuring that out, so i’m genuinely so thankful for this series and wanted to let you know that.

thank you for your comment and support. for all of us trying to make some sense of our identity is so challenging. i will continue to make these videos and continue to hope they are helpful. coming from the fostercare system in the way you look at sorting through memories. try separating them into two piles. 1 prior to adoption and 2nd post adoption. it is helpful as the prior is a 2nd set of repressed memories and sometimes they contradict, due to the temporary nature of fostercare placement and what we are required to do to be part of in an adoption placement. i have found knowing what we are looking to create for ourselves is also helpful. please feel free to ask questions and email me if they are more personal. aboxwithnolid@gmail.com

TRIGGER WARNING, ADOPTION TRAUMA AHEAD hello Bear, First let me say how sorry I am for what was done to you , your family of origin and so many other native and indigenous peoples. I have friends that were stolen from their families in Canada and placed with families in the US, I've seen the devastation that it causes. But that's not my story, I was a scared 15 yr old that needed guidance and support, what I found was exploitation in a crisis pregnancy center. They manipulated and conned me into turning my baby girl over to them at birth. And then they sent me on my merry little way, "to forget about it and take advantage of the second chance that I had been given and never look back." that's all I can say, as I've just triggered myself. Thanks for making this channnel and speaking the unpleasant truth! blessings

Thank you for commenting. i know know and respect how hard this is for you, as well as other mothers who were treated the way you have been. being involved in the whole advocacy side of adoption for so many years. i have heard so many stories of how young women were so pressured into handing over their children. the sad reality nothing has changed from our times. please know that i hold nothing against the mothers or fathers of adoption. i am just trying to get the actual truth of all involved out into the world to hear.

when we create an ecology, several things working together, that we engage in and live around that supports the changes we wish to make. this exposure helps our body to move past the survival environment into a new paradigm.

I was going to ask you if you were going to put something like this out. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, the great majority of my European-American family and friends have no idea this occured... forcibly taking Indian children... Same goes for residential schools and what happened there. So hopefully your efforts will not only heal but enlighten.

Thank you for your comment. within adoption there are so many abuses, especially when it come to indigenous and even more so mixed indigenous infants and children. not just in The US & Canada either. all over the world. i will do what i can to raise what i know happens. but the difficulty is that so many people just refuse to accept what we are saying happens.
