This was the first video game I powered up on my brand new AMD FX-57 cpu (fastest and the last single core processor in the world in 2005) paired to a XFX 7800 GTX graphics card back in 2005. This game looked incredible and was so much fun to play at the time.

Man do I feel old I remember playing this game years ago way back when best buy used to have PC games in boxes with just the game disc and a manual best buy used to have 4 full isles of PC games and they used to be really cheap now best buy hasn't carried PC games for couple of years

The old Constitution class they threw in, and nice to see they also gave the excelsior class the older computer panels.

The online server deathmatch games were the best part of Elite force, if you timed them right, you could jump the entire arena with a blaster or rocket launcher :)

Daikatan is weird. The first act where you shoot frogs, alligators and big mosquitos is the most annoying and boring act ever made but after you get your hands on the word in act II it becomes the most epic adventure ever.

You should play the mods Snowdrop Escape, Evacuation, and Prisoner someday since they are all made by the same devs behind Swelter and are pretty good for the most part.

As far as i can tell all this was canon story. I think Tron Legacy based much of it's evolution on this game. Flynn lost the ability to digitize matter when the original Tron program defeated the MCP in the original Film. It makes sence Encom would have sought to unlock the ability again with a new AI.

I'm kind of shocked how difficult this game is, even on the easy difficulth setting. Enemies are literally aim bots and dropping from a small platform can instantly kill you as if you jumped of a huge cliff.

How do you get your weapons to spawn in with you, when you get to a new level? I downloaded the mod, and after finishing the level, all my weapons get removed.

At 3:22:00, the sniper challenge, how come your rifle can shoot 7 shots before reloading? Mine only shoots 4. (It says 16 units of energy per shot, but it's actually 20). That's with the Beta LOL gun. Good shooting BTW 👍 Thanks.

Thanks for download links. I have some error fixes for the non expert users: Be sure to have "WinRAR" or "7zip". A) If you dont want the mod's menu and preffer the original one, erase "zzzzz_kunmohmenu" or move to another folder. B) Fix game is not opening: Open "zzzz_weapon" and then "UI" folder. You will find another folder inside, move the weird folder content to "UI". Fixed. C) If you want to use the original HUD elements, do the next steps: 1) Open "Pak0", go to "UI" folder, extract the elements you want to change, for example: "Healthbar" is found as "hud_health.urc" "Crosshair" is found as "Crosshair.urc" "Compass" is found as "hud_compass.urc" 2) Rename all files adding "11" at the end, for example: "hud_health.urc" to "hud_health11.urc" DON'T DO THIS FOR CROSSHAIR, is the only one wich doesn't need a name change. Do the same to all elements. 3) Open the "zzzz_weapon", "UI" folder, and you'll find another "weird-named" folder inside, move the folder content to the previous folder "UI". 4) Add and replace the renamed files in the compress.

How did you get this to work when I use high def I got stuck on loading screen yet my PC is high end up to now the dev who made this mod cannot fix my issue

I was waiting for the first one to come out and really needed a fps with working phaser. you got to fight the borg with their personal shields that adapt after the first couple hits of any weapon type. It was as good as the previews and better. the custom maps and deathmatch turned out to be where it was really at. Strange atmosphere. Great engine. Elite force 1 had an expansion where you could explore practically the whole Voyager ship. Complete with replicators and holodeck.

Think this game gave Joe Kaosinski inspiration for Tron Legacy?

I wish gamers that post these videos would lst the system specs of the system they played on.

I played this game when it was hot off the presses, and must've played it a dozen times. And, this is, LITERALLY, the first time I've seen what happens when Odell doesn't make it through the Scavenger Base. Thanks for plugging that gap in my fond memories.

Masterpiece sequel to the original movie in a video game forms. I still think this game still hold up in a battle competition against most interactive movie game out there IMHO even if the game is developed in first person format. This game kickass!!
