      @DJ Criss Angel Yeah, good old times. Tbh I missed it back then bcs of Half-Life. Unfortunetly they were released in the same month. (Nov. '98.) ...and HL took the show for years. Somewhere around 2000 i picked it up again and gave it a shot. I didn't regret it, I really liked it.

      @@Kvadrant They used q2 ID engine back then. I still think ID is the best game engine, but because of politics they don't get around like unreal and source engines.

      @DJ Criss Angel id Tech 2 was one of the most popular and flexible engines at the time, and once they worked for id (Quake MP1: Scourge of Armagon), under Ritual's former company name "HiPNOTiC Software". The two teams knew each other well, so they couldn't have dreamed of faster technical support :) id Tech 2 (better known at the time as "quake2 engine" ) was an obvious choice from them, i think.
      (Edit: I almost forgot: The same can be said of the guys at Rogue. They made two mission packs for id. (Quake MP2 - Dissolution of Eternity; Quake II - Ground Zero) Later, they independently created 'American McGee's Alice', for quake3 engine (id Tech 3))
      (Edit2: Really the last edit. Just to complete the list of teams who worked for id and continued with their own project with quake 2 engine: Raven - SoF / Heretic II, Gray Matter (former Xatrix) - Kingpin.)

      @DJ Criss Angel Yes. With these works they have built up the capital for self-reliance. Perhaps, I can say that for all our future gaming experience :)
