Thanks Dan, great insight. I can’t imagine any team not “listening” to trade offers. Why wouldn’t you? If they want to give a haul you can’t turn down, the whole point is to listen, which doesn’t mean entertaining or act.

Reminds me of a guy on the Chiefs who is the best center in the league that we passed on in the draft. He seems like a tough,motived and versatile player.

This is a classic John Schneider move, and if history is any indication, it’s likely to be another failure. Aside from Damien Lewis, the GM has repeatedly failed to draft quality interior offensive linemen-and even let Lewis go, which turned out to be a mistake. John will likely draft Slater in the second or third round, sign Dalton Risner, and field a starting offensive line of Cross, Risner, Olu, Slater, and Lucas. Frankly, it’s laughable. Once again, this team will be held back by its refusal to part ways with arguably the worst GM in football, propped up by an owner who has no business running a team. Her late brother would be rolling in his grave. Instead of making meaningful improvements, John will opt for late-round project players who won’t be ready in year one, along with low-tier free agents. As a result, the Seahawks will once again fall short of the playoffs-or barely make it in, only to be eliminated immediately. It’s long past time for John to be fired. McDonald should be running the show.

Dont think they will go oline unless they move down . Especially with deep oline prospects imo.

I like Booker, but I am not sure he will have the movement skills required for this system. However, he has that dog mentality and could be the vocal leader this OL is sadly missing.

Hawks will probably sign Lucas Patrick from the Saints to follow Kubiak and be a hedge for the draft at LG. Slater is a good option for center or guard later. I do hope they invest serious resources in at least 1 OL like Dalman or a 2nd round guard like Fairchild, Zabel or Milum. Dalman, Patrick, Zabel, Slater with the rest of the young guards we have already, you can’t say they didn’t try

I'm not convinced, yet, that the Hawks will go hog wild (pun intended) adding IOL. I expect some/a few, but with a new OC and line coach in town there's some evaluation to be had of recent season adds that have been relatively numerous. I would like to hope that Benton is glued to a video screen already getting more familiar with what is already here. Follow that with personal contact to get "inside the head" of the guys. Tomlinson and Fant, perhaps Forsythe, are likely gonners, but the rest are under consideration. Does Benton think there are players to work with and how high is his confidence. Feedback from him should play into just how much draft and free agent resource should be employed. I would expect Benton to be better than Huff at pro level coaching, and potential results will tell.

Get rid of geno...and get everyone else to renegotiate their contracts there are ways to keep everyone happy and keep our guys on the roster it's business...get it done by any means necessary

I would take either Royals or Tez Johnson in round 3. Royals is a little taller and maybe a little more durable with a larger frame, but Johnson is a little more NFL ready and has a more developed route running capability. Royals is not super on his cuts on out and hitch patterns like Johnson. But both can threaten defenses deep with 4.3 forty speed. In the long run, I like Royals best, but Johnson could probably step in immediately and replicate Lockett's production from last year.

To me, Royals make a lot of sense. He reminds me more of a faster Brandon Aiyuk. Compact build. Can stretch the field. YAC ability. He's still recovering from his leg injury but dude can fly. It was hand timed but Utah State offered him a scholarship after he ran a 4.3 and had a huge broad jump.

Remember in 1981 when magic Johnson signed a 25 year $25 million contract : can we do something similar with lockett?

In addition to Geno and Fant, we need to get Lockett off the books… so definitely need to draft a WR. Use the freed up money towards an improved oline. Run it with Howell next season… if he sucks, you get good draft position to pick a new QB! If he is good, you have a young cheap QB that you can continue to groom. This is an absolute no brainer folks.

Ricky White lll is a good Tyler replacement if you ask me. Jack Bech is my favorite to watch. That guy looks like the next Ed McCaffrey/Cooper Kupp. He just gets open, yac, and physical.
