@@SeahawksForeverDanViens i truly believe if we start winning again the fans will start going again we've been so bad for so long now we'll mediocre we haven't been horrible but what hurts is all the good players we have and it just doesn't quit come together that fans are tired
It’s Stubhub and the ease and profitability of resale that has driven this…. Too easy to make money or break even on tickets rather than just being a passionate fan. My fam has had season tickets since ‘76 and our part of the stands has changed dramatically in the last few years.
I live in San Diego, every year my daughter and I would go to a game in Seattle. However, the prices are ridiculous. To get a flight , hotel, can and tickets, easily over 2K...and that's to watch a mediocre team lose when we can do that in SD for free.
I went to see the Seahawks play the NIners in 2019. Ticket+flight+dinner cost less than a Seahawks ticket in Seattle. And Levi's stadium is impressive.
I , a Bills Mafia member visited Lumen Field and Seattle from Toronto Ontario Canada via Vancouver BC. last Sunday. We were treated with warm hospitality and kindness the whole weekend. I just want to thank the people of Seattle. You have a beautiful city.
Seattle is also running out of homers. I’m born and raised here and everytime i met someone they are from somewhere else. Living here for work. From the Bay Area, Florida or somewhere in TX.
Glad you posted this it’s wild how few hawks fans are at the games the last few weeks! Have gone to every home game this year and went to all but the niners last season. Just sad to see
I've had to be a Seahawks fan from afar my entire life. At the age of 9 in 1978 I discovered football. I had just moved to Michigan from Oregon and PNW was home to me, always will be. I've been extremely loyal every season, many times we have been in seasons like this, but for varying reasons. I'm envious of thise who get to go to the games in person. My first, and only game in Seattle came on January 9th, 2000, the playoff game we lost to the Dolphins. My first was the last game to be played in the Kingdome, despite losing, it is a very cherished memory. I understand some fans travel well, maybe Buffalo is that way. I guess they aren't "counterfeit Bills" afterall? Good show Dan, love tuning into your show! Another comment to follow about the team status, but just my opinion.
Dan, I am a seasons ticket holder (4 tickets) from Vancouver. I believe there are 6-8 k of us and I'm sure many in eastern WA etc. I think back to back or Thursday home games discourage many of us from making the trip two weeks in a row or twice in a week. The cost is huge, fuel, parking, food, beer etc. ( a bottle of coke is $11 Canadian!) Anyhow, I will admit sometimes selling my tickets for face value and not incurring these costs make it easy to decide to sell when games are close together. They should also schedule Canucks vs Kraken on Sat and Hawks Sunday which would encourage BC ticket holders to come for weekend and also the resales would go to other Hawk fans from BC.
Canada is full of Bills fans and many-from what i was told at the game-was that a large percentage of them live in BC....love the BC Hawk fans but may have been just as many Bills fans come down last game....
Seattle fans were criticized for being "bandwagons" in the 2010s and this has been proven to be true over the last few seasons honestly, I went to a Seahawks game last season and was disappointed by the seats being filled more by the opposing teams fans (which unfortunately was the 49ers)
Because the team been kind of lousy for the last 5yrs and the tickets are mad expensive plus the $80 parking, ontop of it being mad expensive to live in Seattle... If they start to winning including playoff games, the stadium will get rocking again...
The tickets that are mostly being sold to opposing fans are season tickets. They’re already paid for. And in most cases owned by companies. They are WAY more expensive for those traveling fans to buy via resale.
@SeahawksForeverDanViens The fans are tired of going to games to watch a team get hammered, they rather stay home to watch that... 12s been rocking with the seahawks forever even after that embarrassing SB lost that the seahawks should of won. Its time for the Seahawks to start rocking with the 12s and start winning again give the 12s something to look forward to...
It’s a sad reality, but until ticket prices become reasonable this will be the new normal. I bought tickets to the Vikings game in December for my dad and I, well over $300 per ticket for just average seats. We need to cap resale at whatever the value of the purchased ticket was. No more turning a profit on season tickets for people who are already filthy rich. Tbh I think season tickets should only be one season long. Each season there’s a lottery for X amount of season tickets. Resets each year. Also doesn’t help when the team plays like ass. I think it would be a problem regardless, sadly.
I'm hoping to attend one last game in 2026, I'm from the UK and looked at ticket prices this season and was gobsmacked to see a good seat is a minimum of $500! That's half the weekly price for a stay at a hotel. So are fans reselling their tickets for profit?
Oh yeah they'll resell that ticket from 7-900 my buddy is ticket holders and he sells them easy not to opposing fans though but yeah they make at least 2-400 profit if not more I know he said he can sell 2 or 3 tickets and make his money back for the season
I'm in Virginia, and when I go to a Seahawks game my trip is usually (Wednesday-Friday in Vegas for Super Cheap discounts on Rooms)... Then Saturday/Sunday in Seattle There are sooo many flights from Vegas to Seattle, and very affordable. I'm thinking that fans of other teams do this same thing 🤔 Make it a whole 5 day trip of the year
This is so simple Back in the day the LoB Pete Carroll, Russ, Marshawn Lynch team was kicking ass bunch of badass players, this team sucks , there’s a lack of stars.Who wants to pay $300 dollar + to see DK fumble or Geno cry on the bench or watch a defense who cants stop the run ??? Until they don’t play better people won’t go to see them , right now is a bad product and show to go to see
My guess is the only way to fix this is for management to police the season tix holders. Reasons for this issue are 1) $ - way too expensive 2) spoiled fans expecting solid play. I was at the game Sunday, and it was hard to root loudly in the 2nd half when we were just awful.
Why do you claim they are spoiled fans? The only ones spoiled are the players and current Seahawks brass who expect Seahawk fans to go blow a couple grand to go to a game and then rip their vocal cords out screaming for a bottom tier team with a backup QB.
I think cost has to be considered. I've been a season ticket holder since 2012. Ticket price goes up every year. Parking has gone from $20 to $80-$100. A couple of burgers and a couple coke zeros is $75. I spent $30 on one old fashioned. Try doing this for 10 games. It's a lot.
using parking costs and concession costs as a reason not to go is nonsense...way too many other options available for smart fans that bring your costs down...
The NFL is good at a lot of things but should really take a lesson on tickets/season tickets from over here in England, tickets get sold back at cost to the club if you can’t go and then the club resell them at that market cost or you can give/sell it to friends and family but if they are not home team fans they shouldn’t make it clearly known or you can be investigated for selling home end tickets to away fans with punishments from a possible fine (normally the match day ticket cost) to not being able to apply for a season ticket the following season. Also a lot of clubs over here have a members section to a fan base where people make a account with the club to join with a small yearly subscription fee and that’s where most unsold or resell tickets go to before being opened up to the general public. The system has flaws of course but it would largely stop the issues that are occurring
They should let us younger fans get a chance to become a season ticket holders. I finally have discretionary income but I’m on a waitlist god knows how long. My solution is that you have to attend at least 4-5 home games otherwise you lose your season ticket holder status.
Dan it is simple Big Wins at home since 2021 season they have 4 against opponents with a good record or big games if you will. Seahawks used to win every game at home it felt like. Put a good tough team on the field again and they will come back.
Watching the Atlanta game it was shocking to see the number of empty seats. That definitely seems more common now when watching other teams games. I would say the solution is to engage the diehard 12s more but it is probably more that in-person demand is down everywhere. Fans are less tolerant of going to watch the team lose, get rained on, freeze it out, pay the costs, and maybe younger generations especially who now have kids. But the diehard 12s will always go.
Was Mike McDonald offensive coordinator forced on him. Because if you were supposed to have Arthur Smith but Arthur Smith went to Pittsburgh was that really his backup or was that the management that Fired Pete Carroll who are not football people. Was he their hire?
The NFL is $$$ for the fans. Back in the early '90s me and some friends could wake up and check our wallets and for about 35$ was a 300 level. Just drive and park on Spokane st. Good times
The bigger question is why does this team look so undisciplined and unprepared on both sides of the ball. Why does this defense look this bad why is our offense so inconsistent and why can't we execute anything consistently. Now i keep hearing we have to give this staff more time fine i'll give them 9 more games to show me something anything but if they can't i'm out .
Russell Wilson killed our home field by routinely losing to inferior teams with 3rd string QBs and years and years of shitty defense by Hawks. I went to the first Seahawks game ever, been a fan forever. This was the worst team performance I have seen since MNF debacle vs Rams. Top 5 all time disgusting performances. It is in Seattle so lots of people don't go.
Is Fields worth a punt if the cost is a low round pick? Didn’t realise he was 6,3 always thought he was short. One of those players who needs to learn pro offences but seems to be getting there
The Seahawks are a soft football team, and there simply isn't enough talent on the team to make up for the glaring problem areas (O-Line being one example)
As a ramp, I can honestly tell you why it’s because the product you guys are putting on the field sucks and people don’t want to waste money on watching that garbage
It's what happens when your team is MEDIOCRE!!! Our OWNER is INCOMPETENT, she hired a ROOKIE HC w/o ANY experience being a HC on ANY level, she kept a FAILED GM in John Schneider whose whole approach is the Pete Carroll system, so we have the SAME PLAYERS, SAME SYSTEM, tec...
Do YOU think the issue of so many opposing fans attending games at Lumen can be fixed? If so, how?
@@SeahawksForeverDanViens i truly believe if we start winning again the fans will start going again we've been so bad for so long now we'll mediocre we haven't been horrible but what hurts is all the good players we have and it just doesn't quit come together that fans are tired

With the impending sale of the Seahawks, what if the NFL is trying to drive the league out of Seattle?
It’s not impending and there’s no way the league doesn’t want a team in this market.
you might want to look up the definition of impending....
