Pete potentially being interested in Darnold because they both have ties to USC seems like facile dot connecting, not to be rude.

Why am I do obsessed with the draft this year? I've done more mock drafts this week than my entire life. It's better than Netflix at least

I wish him well with The Raiders.

Brian’s guest today suggested that John is waiting to see if McCarthy is going to get the saints job, if he doesn’t he has ties to John and could come to be our OC.

I'd be down for that. I've been kinda hoping for that this whole time. But I thought that he'd be head coaching somewhere if he left Dallas.

    •  9 дней назад

Why would McCarthy take the NO job when the Saints are in salary cap purgatory. NO's best/only bet is to hire a 1st time HC who'll be happy to land with any HC position opening.

    •  9 дней назад

As a Seahawks fan, I'm not thrilled about the possibility of McCarthy as Seattle's next OC. I believe McCarthy is an overrated coach who only won 1 SB because of AR12, and McCarthy pretty much squandered AR12's career and potential in GB. Imagine how many SBs Pete would have won with AR12 as Seattle's QB, along with Beastmode and the LOB.

He does great for the regular season, but he tanks in the play offs. And remember, we knocked them out of the nfc championship game when they were up 20 points, i still don't know how that collaps happened. So yeah, good and bad. But, you know he can completely take over and run the offense. That's if he wants to downgrade

When you read about how Pete Carroll built a juggernaut program at USC, you learn that he embraced LA's celebrity culture as a strength. Now he is taking the helm for the iconic Raiders franchise. I expect him to lean into the brash, Al Davis culture of that organization, which also fits with the tenor of the city of Las Vegas. It's going to be fun to watch, as he refashions the Raiders.

  •  9 дней назад +1

Now that Pete is in LV, what if Pete calls up John in Seattle and says: John, I'll give you our 2025 and 2026 1st round picks for Geno and DK. I think John would make that trade immediately.

    •  9 дней назад

@@SeahawksForeverDanViens IDK, Pete is 73 and will be 74 when the 2025 season is underway. This 2025 draft class is weak in QBs and WRs, and there are certainly no WRs who are built like DK with his speed in this class or currently in the NFL. I can see Pete go the route of the early Sean McVay and Les Snead's F 'em picks approach and trade high draft picks for proven stars to win immediately.

Pete won’t have personnel control over the new LV GM that’s building for the team and his future….never gonna happen…..

    •  9 дней назад

@@brianmyers4444 Do you think Pete would have taken LV's HC job without promises/guarantees from the ownership group that he'll have some power and say over LV's roster? Not a chance. I believe Pete, the new GM, and TB12 together will now make the majority of LV's personnel and roster decisions moving forward.

    • @brianmyers4444
      @brianmyers4444 9 дней назад

I don’t think LV would offer him any more than a typical coaches level of input on personnel…..Pete knows this is his last shot as a head coach and I’m sure they came to an agreement that was basically a here’s the deal contract take it or leave it…..may not even have asked for an abundance of control knowing his time is short…..the new GM had to have info on this coming and why would he take a job as a hopefully long term GM only to have to share power/duties with a coach that may only last three years….also, Brady only has 10% ownership and Mark Davis will take his opinions but it’s unlikely he defers to Brady on much of anything…..

They should have let John go with Pete. I've lost all faith in Schneider after last year's o line disaster and external free agent signings. Rams GM out drafted him too.

Players have bad years. So do GM’s. The coaches weren’t in place in time to be part of the evaluation process. He could easily hit this offseason out of the park.

Still don't understand why pete 2160p was fired and John Schneider stayed on that makes no sense I don't care what anyone says John Schneider has been horrible, especially with free agent signings think about these three free agents he signed in the off-season who are no longer on this team. Then there's Jones, Graham, Lacy, Harvin, Joeckel, Blair Walsh, Williams, plus how many first-round picks there was a bust. I don't understand how anyone can praise John Schneider when compared to the Rams GM he is not even close . He a terrible GM and should have been fired with Carrol when the Rams kept loading up in the draft while the Seahawks kept drafting duds what I'd pathetic is the Seahawks have had higher draft picks and more picks than the Rams
