No it’s a RAM burpee, chest or stomach needs to touch the RAM and the put it above your head. Hope that helps

In your same timeline - is Sunday Monday and Tuesday then normal workouts or also reduced volume? Have a similar plan except thinking the Wednesday off, Thursday the 20 minute 8 station practice and Friday as you are. I read that the muscles are helped to be primed within 48 hours before so thinking of switching your Wednesday and Thursday around. Interested on your thoughts on that too
I played rugby in school. My position was loosehead prop. I connect my shoulders directly on the bars (like if training with a scrum machine) and I feel that it is more effective in moving heavier weights. I have a low grip on the poles in almost a row position, pulling up to keep my shoulders fixed to the bars. It really locks my upper body to the sled and the heavier I push the more stable I feel. But I have not seen anyone using this technique. Am I doing something wrong? What do you think of this technique?
Love it ! If it works for you then there is no harm. Bringing in the experience from rugby, now those boys know how to push weight 💪🏽

No stress, good luck in your event. Chest or stomach needs to touch the RAM and the put it above your head. Hope that helps

This was a strength workout, mostly focusing on tempo squats, later that day was a z2 long run shaking the legs out for 75 minutes

Fastest i ever clocked was 34.6, but that was on grass..
I am still trying to find a 2'' thick rope for sled pulling. Nobody seems to know where to get one...
How much is on there
Couple of questions 1. What is the width of the sled push in competition day? The sled i have at the gym is too wide to use the shoulders against- they are 1 metre apart- so my only real option while training is the unpreferred straight arm push- am feeling it a bit on my shoulders 2. What is the ground made of that the sled is pushing on? It seems like a more resistant green material? 3. What happens if you stop pushing the sled push and have a 15 second rest at the 25 m mark? Can you rest or do you get penalised?
Do you have to take off from both feet, or just on landing?
How does this translate to the stations? Pull ups for the sled pull. Shoulder press?

Can you jump as far as you like or do you have to keep jumps smaller by the rules? Or is the idea to just pace yourself and keep the jumps conservative throughout?

What would you recommend for Hyrox? I love my Alphafly’s for running but unsure on the sled pull, I have cloudmonsters for pure comfort but feel they lack a little kick 🦵
Hey Paul, I’ve done a video about how to choice the hyrox shoe for you, maybe a year ago now but still really helpful. I wouldn’t use the Alpha for this
you need to invest in better audio. the background noise is very loud and its hard to hear you. I suggest a wireless mic when demo exercises. Otherwise, you can record a voiceover in video edit.
