    When you have a new pair that is showing signs of pairing up how soon do you give them their own tank?

    • @shelleraquatics
      @shelleraquatics 26 дней назад

      No set time, but if I see they are bowing, shaking, cleaning a site that usually means they are bonded but I have also had 2 females pair up so each situation is very different. Sometimes I let them spawn to see what happens then move them. It really depends on what I'm seeing and though to give an exact time frame.

    Have you ever tried a central system with a sump?

    • @shelleraquatics
      @shelleraquatics Месяц назад

      I have and did not like the lack of control per tank and if something goes wrong it's usually very expensive to correct. It's hard to use the cya method in a central system. I prefer the slow and steady method, each tank is its own system. Just a personal preference.

    • @shelleraquatics
      @shelleraquatics Месяц назад

      I also don't use the auto water change system anymore, it made me "Lazy" and cost me over 10,000 in the mentality that's "its handled" I left the hobby because of both these systems and decided if I'm not going to spend at least 2-3 hours a day in my room I won't get back into the hobby. This have made my room extremely productive and profitable and I'm enjoying every day ☺

    Hey Steve, Matt from West Australia here. I've sourced some fulvic acid and dosed my 75 gallon tank. With regards to water changes, I perform two 50% water changes each week. Do I re-dose for just replaced water or re-dose for the whole tank?

    • @shelleraquatics
