Just finished the manga, thanks for the iceberg explanation it helped flesh out some things I missed. The happy ending is definitely possible. In order to get a wish to come true all of the yorishiros must be destroyed which will include Hanako’s. What causes all of the problems in the series? Tsukasa making a wish with the hole kami that results in his death. If the wish is that they want Tsukasa to live then that means Amane will die as a child. But Tsukasa can grow up instead. We only know what Amane’s future was suppose to be not Tsukasa. Amane can be reincarnated as Tsukasa’s descendent, letting him live in the same time as Nene as a normal 13 year old boy. I feel like Nene referring to child Tsukasa’s spirit as Hanako’s descendant originally in the red house kinda hints at this possibility.

@VIVIDLIE So, you may have already mentioned this is not (maybe someone has) but what if Lu Guang is Cheng Xiaoshi's dad? I know it is stretch, but it would explain some things, like how they can't exist together, and it might even explain his white hair and real age (I doubt Lu Guang even knows his current age). Just a thought though

What you talked about is a totally different rhing, doesn't count in the main light novels (if you count that one, you also should count the "Kunikida and Katai's magnificent days short story- expect that one matters more, that written by Asagiri, and not just a story retelling)

to be honest after the hint at the end of season 2 im not even having hopes for a happy ending, at least not in the way you will describe perfect happy ending, the more and more i see , more and more it become belivable that lu guan cant exist with them together and he will fade and dissapear once he achieve his goal. yes is sad but it was writen long time a go ? right ? being depressed wont help anyone, i know many got attached to the characters, me too a little but im ready for anything. still remember when i found out season 1 very randomly, all the storis and plot twist were insane, never watched a show like this one. so i hope everyone who watched it dont get too attached or depressed and is ready to witness the worse posible. dont complain just enjoy the story the way its writen!!!

I just finished watching it but I still don't understand the timeline. The special season of Link Click (Bridon Arc) takes place after the story in season 1,2, right? And am I correct in thinking that recently, cheng xiaoshi passed away, but lu guang went back in time and intentionally got stuck there.

Dude I know I'm a bit late myself telling you this, but you're not one to talk either if you had to do such a piss poor job trying to blur out all the spoilers in the description on your thumbnail. It's quite hypocritcal and amateurish.

Technically the song's lyrics don't necessarily relate to the plot of the show because Baisha JAWS (who wrote the song) didn't know the plot beforehand. They posted their thoughts and process in making the intro on their instagram.

My theory is that THERE WILL STILL BE A HAPPY ENDING as spoiled by the final scene in the ED of Bridon Arc- but that will depend on Lu Guang and Cheng Xiaoshi NOT meeting in the past- and ONLY meeting in the future of the altered timeline where cheng Xiaoshi was actually saved. It's the reason Lu Guang revisits the relationship and bonds he and Cheng Xiaoshi had in the past- because those bonds and lost memories would serve as his connection to Cheng Xiaoshi AFTER the new timeline of saving Cheng Xiaoshi overcomes the previous timelines that killed him. Essentially, that friendship will be broken as soon as he chooses to walk away from all those choices that led to Cheng Xiaoshi's death. It's like a one-sided break-up. Lu Guang knows they're still friends even if he's the only one who remembers. The GOOD NEWS is walking away from Cheng Xiaoshi to save him doesn't mean they cannot meet in the future outside of the altered timeline, right? That is why, if given a choice to meet again, Lu Guang would make that choice... and the ONLY sad thing is that Cheng Xiaoshi will meet him as a complete stranger- without the same memories that Lu Guang has acquired in those timelines when he was still attempting to save Cheng Xiaoshi. And in that FINAL REUNION, Lu Guang would fulfill his promise- he will NEVER make the same mistake- which means that by the time they meet again, he would've probably LOST his time-traveling powers... the same powers that messed up everything to begin with. I think it's the ONLY way to save both Cheng Xiaoshi and their friendship- that is, if they can be friends without those powers interfering EVER again.😍😇

I also think there isnt really the possibility for a happy-end, because hanako is dead and cant leave the school building. for a real happy end he would have to become human again but i think this is not possible. so the happiest ending for them would probably be that they both die and can live together as school mysteries... But actually there would be another happy-end if they die, because its possible that they get reincarnated and meet each other again or something (like in "darling in the franxx")

happiest ending: hanako and mitsuba somehow become human, yashiro’s live span is normal, hanako and yashiro get tgth, mitsuba and kou get tgth, aoi and akane get tgth, no more deaths or supernaturals, everyone lives happily!!! (im delusional)

Personally I'm a sucker for tragic endings. The perfect ending for me personally would be if Lu, in the end, would have to come to terms with Cheng's death and let go. He made a lot of memories with him due to his rewinding, and that has to be enough.

Fortunately, it was mentioned in the manga that Naomi and Junichiro are not from the same family. Junichiro literally said, “In my drawer you will find a file about NAOMI’s real family.”

Forgive me for being an idiot and slow - does this mean everything we saw so far is just another one of the many timelines Lu Guang tried to save Chen Xiaoshi or was it the first? If it is the former, did Lu Guang have to remember the exact dialogue/actions he said/did before to reduce the butterfly effect? That sounds so depressing...

Ok *deeep breath * watched ep 1 of bridon 3 days ago and saw ur video… I’m really scared I think this season might be the death of me… especially because the main themes of s1 was ‘past or future let it be’ I feel like it’s going to be a bad ending (and that detail about the eyes is so genius) I think the nerd convention you mentioned was probably to anime con they went to in ep1?? Also not sure if I heard wrong, but at the very first bit of the episode vein holds a gun to luguang and says ‘ this is your punishment for changing the past’? I don’t know if this is the same timeline as s1 and 2 but if it wasn’t maybe it would have to do with CXS’s parents? I feel like there’s a good reason why his parents are missing Cheng tells Luguang ‘your eyes reminded me of two people I knew.. they disappeared’ and I feel like he meant his parents???? And when Cheng xiaoshi dies he tells luguang ‘save them’ but if he were only referring to Qiao Ling he would say ‘save her? (Or maybe he meant some catastrophic incident that happened ono Bridon idk) I’m so excited for this and I’m gonna mass watch so many analysis videos while waiting for ep 2

Hi hello super flipping late to the party but I just have to say it because the pilot is just so much better than the current start of tbhk. I just think that in the pilot the fact they pulled up these like "punishments" or "strikes" from the gods is amazing and explaining that there's multiple generations makes everything feel very interesting and logical. I wish they kept the strikes thing and I wish that there was more than just nene asking for a wish to be grant I think that for sure interested me more than it being the most popular wonder yet never actually see anybody else ask for a wish. (please do correct me if i'm wrong though I have not read the entire anime cause I'm a lazy shit but wtv.)
