How to get it all wrong and still catch a fish
Excellent informative video! Thank you.
Could turn that thing into a floating city lol
🤘🏻
Lovely :)
For all sayings it’s fake, it’s real. The camera, visuals and overall quality are looking pretty much like real life. Also, I flew in chinooks and that sound in the video is the impossible-to-replicate sound of the chinooks interior mid flight, and it is a sound that is created by the camera audios, which is in fact very different to hearing it in person. 👍
Black Hawk is my Helikopter !!!
Good job, descriptive tour
lithium doesnt last longer, 100Ah is 100h no matter what chemistry, just fyi
Not exactly. A 100AH lithium battery has a usable capacity of about 90-95AH. A 100AH lead acid has a usable capacity of about 50AH before its flat and no longer providing enough voltage to operate.
@@brian8793 I was gonna stir the pot and mess with ya! But you are correct sir! :) I'm looking at the 160, but the 180 is near the same price, however the 180 wont fit in my garage!
Same reason I ended up with the 160. Honestly unless you fish with more than two or three people often the 160 is plenty of boat.
Thanks again for your reply. One more question: The boat has a hose going from the low point near the keel and battery back under the cockpit all the way to the stern. It looks like a line for a bilge pump, however, there is no opening for the water to be pumped out. The current owner said he never had a bilge pump and did not know what the hose was supposed to do. Can you tell me if this hose is meant for a bilge pump, and so how is it intended to be setup to pump water overboard? The owner did not have a Capri 18 owners manual, he had a Capri 22 manual, but it does not address setting up a bilge pump or this hose. Enjoyed watching your video again, looks like it was relaxing and enjoyable trip. Thanks!
Pretty sure I didn’t have a bilge pump on mine at all. I kept a manual bilge pump in case.
@@brian8793 Thanks
Enjoyed your video. I am not familar with the Capri 18. Can you tell me how it compares to the Catalina 22 in terms of the ease of launching and retireving the boat from the trailer, i.e., raising the mast, hanking on the sails, getting it on and off the trailer, etc. I am primarily a day sailor, that likes a dry, comforable, safe boat. Dighny's won't work for me, and this boat looks like it may be easier to handle, particularly in terms of raising the mast. But then, I do not have any experience launching a keel boat, so that may offset it . Your thoughts would be appreicated, Thanks
It’s a little easier but not much. The C-22 takes maybe 5-10 minutes longer to rig from start to finish. They’re both about identical to launch and load, the fixed keel in the C-18 is short enough to not be a hassle. Both are made easiest with a trailer tongue extension to help get the trailer deeper without submerging the back of the truck in the process. If given the choice between two of similar quality and price I’d pick the C-22 for its more spacious cabin at anchor. They’re both very good trailer sailers but the C-22 is a bit heavier and more stable without being much more work to get rigged.
@@brian8793 Thanks for the reply and info. Greatly appreciated.
What self respecting Apache pilot flys above the tree line?? 😀

Awesome, I used to sail up at Horsetooth and Carter in college
Nice!! I step raised the mast on my Catalina 22 the other day. It was def scary for the first time, but went up without a hitch.
Is that the Mark W. Barker?
I've seen prices of about 45' for these. Is that what they cost?
I paid quite a bit less than that for mine. Last I looked $45k should get you a higher end Sea Runner or Pro V.
Beautiful Lighthouse and scenery
Thanks. It was the one day out there that wasn’t entirely foggy.
Yamaha fixes this. Mercs are not built by Japanese.
It would be nice to fine a video of a lake freighter WITHOUT some idiot bringing up the Fitzgerald.
Very simple solutions for easy tack. It doesn't always have to be perfect, sometimes its just ok to sit and relax. Must try this. Thanks
Beautiful with a flat horizon
I hope you are joking🫣🤡
The DEATH MACHINE!!
342, that’s my Girl!
She’s turned around nicely since back in the day. Not a turd anymore.
Love that bow wave.
She wasn't even a year old and ran a ground at Belle Isle.😬
fantastic shot.

Какой огромный корабль
Nice!
Where did you get the pole to support the mast?
It came with the boat but you can buy one here: www.catalinadirect.com/shop-by-boat/not-a-catalina/trailerable-boats/mastup-mast-stepper-with-38quot-pintles/ Could very likely find it cheaper elsewhere or even make something similar from hardware store bits.
Sound like he's also "...gettin' too old for this shit" (3/Oct/2023-2:03pm🇦🇺EST)
That ain't nothen, my dad and I, had a destroyer cruise by our 18 foot Criss Craft - left a twenty foot wake coming right at us - Scared the Bee Jesus out of us! 🌍
This ship is over 100’ longer, wider, taller and when loaded displaces three times as much as a US Navy destroyer. Big difference is my sailboat is also much larger, heavier and more stable that a Chriscraft. Also way uglier than a Chriscraft.
@@brian8793I think I understand, but I'm sure your sail boat is a real beauty - my deal is, this was about sixty years ago, Dad just bought this Criss Craft, first time out . . So Dad and I took her way yyyy out, like 4 or five miles into open water 😂 the what ever it was looked like 300 / 400 feet long, (definitely all grey and US Navy and it was hauling ass, I really thought we were dead. Our new pride was a 64 foot ketch, we lived on later on in life. Haha, I know too much info. Question, was the wake you encountered very tall? Ok thanks man 🌏 (On that day in the past, I had no idea, the kind of Wake/ Wave A top speed moving Navy Navy ship could make in deep Sea. Again. Happy sailing brother 💕🌎 thanks again, all is calm 🎼
My cousin lives in Cornwall, Ontario. His property ends right on the st. Laurence.Sights exactly like this happen on the regular sitting on his deck.I never got over the awe watching these massive ships pass DIRECTLY in front of me.
Mark w Barker, newest American laker at the moment
Ive only been to Lake Erie for the great lakes
This is huge
That’s the Ander Arthursen !
Great work, nice looking lake boat!👍
I went out a couple miles off the gap at Ashtabula harbor the buffalo as it was called at the time was at anchor and I was on the jet ski talk about overwhelming size difference.
Beautiful! Just a beautiful sight to see! My great grandfather, used to be a firefighter and one ship, in the 60s.
I think you mean Fireman
Do some variants still use that radar dome thing on top of the main rotor hub they used to have or is that old technology? (Thanks and sorry for my English)
Wow nice water
Crazy how big the boathouse is
I get views like this from my backyard, I live out in the country in the panhandle of Texas. Awe inspiring
Holy cow that's huge. Amazingly smart people built that!

Brian... I found the boat look like your.. Hewes 160 sportman 2018 with 90hp honda Vtec 70hrs, He want 27,500. for it? Do you think I get a good deal??
Doesn’t sound like a bad deal.
Not just any ship (Freighter) the Mark Barker is the first Great Lakes Freighter to be built in over 30 years. Already famous for a power problem it recently had.
