You have to be "Duke" to get the Cutter, not "Rear Admiral". And it is worth every bit of the effort. With 728 tons on board, my jump range, with a bit of engineering, is just over 20ly. Compare that to the 12ly I see on-screen for the T-9. That is a huge difference. Then we have the speed and maneuverability difference between the two ships. The Cutter is so much nicer to fly. It makes it easier to do multiple trips, less grindy. It makes more per hour than the T-9 can. It just may not be the ship for everyone if they're here for the roleplay.

a guard soppeted teh sample tube oennign on one of my missions and stopped it and went on alert searchign for me. They sometimes position these on guard routes so its pretty much impossibel to open them this way.

Oh man, I'm glad everyone else is excited about the Type 8, for me Elite Dangerous is all about shipping huge amounts of those invisible commodities. After getting Cutters and Anacondas I seldom use medium ships. Every time I jump in my Python 30 minutes later I put the ship back into storage.

last time i played i could get 1 billion in less then an hour . but ofc they had to nerf everything to make the game feel like a job to make money😥

You need to play AFK in solo. Use fixed beems on your fighter. Use thermal vent on your long range beam turrets. I use prismatics on AFK platforms with heavy-duty boosters and maybe a shield cell bank. Limpets and some cargo space to collect engineering mats for you and occupied escape pods for sale.

You should use beam laser turrets engineered with efficiency and flow control. Works fine for me.

1-2 tourist missions that take <1 hr will give you more. What's the point in this build?

don't forget the limpets. I use something to hold down the limpet key when I am AFK. Lasers use fuel, careful you don't run out. Gelid G Fighter I find works best, lasts longest. I use some multi cannon with laser to reduce fuel consumption and sit AFK twice as long, grab more limpets at carrier nearby, etc..

Lasers consume fuel, I mix it up with multi cannon and even though they eventually run out of ammo, I have lvl 3 turreted beam lasers. works great with type 10, likely will with Python Mk II as well

In 7 hours i made 30.000.000 credits... i need to take a look ad the video later so i can see how it went. My fighter died and the popint deffence was depleted bust still had 9 food left in cargo.

You know what, I was commenting back and forth with the channel creator and it made me think about something. If you're going to play elite dangerous than double check what your rebuy is going to be. Even though my ship is fully engineered it only cost me $850,000 to re-buy. If you spend a lot of money on a ship the rebuy is going to be extraordinarily high. If you're going to be learning anything where you're going to crash then get one of your cheaper ships out and learn with that ship before you fly the big boy. A lot of people don't check the rebuy and end up rage quitting.

If you lose your SRV then Land close to where you lost it. Get out of your ship and you will see a marker up here at the top of your screen in Orange. This will be there as long as you don't have any other targets selected. That little orange marker is your SRV and the little planetary shaped object at the top is your ship

To be clear this is for new cmdr's in Thargoid combat... not for new cmdr's who are new in the game because you're ship needs a lot of engineering for Thargoid combat...
