Keep 'em coming, commander! I almost lost my mind the first few times I tried to scan nav beacons. This was about a decade ago, but I still sometimes forget that they are not the first target.

I always thought it is so much to fiddle until I can scan the Nav-Beacon. I did not know you had to select a different one! haha

Yep bin there done that... that's why the know how videos for new cmdr's. 🙂

0:57 But how do I scan/select it? Nothing happens for me when I look straight at the beacon. And yes, I am close enough. I have attempted several different beacons, it doesn't seem to scan. My missions aren't updating. Do I need a specific scanning module?

​@@baden271 no but be sure to look at the actual beacon and not the location marker... you select the beacon and on your HUD left down it will start to spin... wen that is done go back in to supercruise and then you look on your left HUD. Now you have all the info about the System... and by selecting I mean put it in front of you and use the button like you selecting a station or ship ect... I hope this helps...o7

@@Grimulas the location marker and the beacon is the same in my situations. And looks like I just need to figure out what button is used to select things.

@baden271 that is never the case... location and beacon are always 2 thinks... wen you arrive at beacon location check on your left HUD under location like you can see wish ships are around you... there you will see nav beacon... it's like a white ball thing you need to select.
