Happy accident right?! While I’m partial to a bare table because it’s more practical, the tablecloth does definitely add a softness to the dining room, and I think it’s perfect for the upcoming cozy months! ☺️❤️

Okay so I sealed it with a clear matte top coat so the color is sealed but it still looks rough and I had actually thought about adding wax to it too to make it feel even more like worn and smooth and used so I think I’m definitely gonna do this now!

I hope it works for you! It takes a little playing around with the sander and then restaining but I was able to even it out a good bit. It does still look a little rustic though just so you know!

Wow!!! Do you really?! See I feel like that would be such an intricate skill that is definitely out of my skill set haha. But that’s awesome. I did think about getting some cane or trying to weave something in there to patch the hole but I guess I decided to take the easy way out since I know I didn’t need that 6th chair all the time 😆😅 I just went through quite a fail with my table 🤣 So I’m officially on a low key antique and thrift hunt for a new to me table that matches my vision but it may be a lengthy hunt so I’m gonna just live with the table as is to finish the dining room ☺️❤️

So it’s possible, but the entire top and also the flat sides on the table between the legs are all a super thin veneer, and I’m unsure what the legs are. So yes it can be sanded down but I’m worried I’m not skilled enough to do it down to raw wood without burning through the entire veneer 😢 But you are right that if I could sand it down safely that would 100% be the simplest fix! I just don’t know if I can 😭
