Coyote Swaps: No Crank FIX!
Hey Guys and Gals,
Sooo, I ran into a problem withy 2015 Mustang GT Coyote Swapped motor in my 1970 Dodge Charger. No crank after only 3 tries. How'd this happen? KAM sets in after too long of cranking on the starter motor.
Keep. Alive. Memory.
With a Bama Tuner, or nGauge. You can reset the KAM (Keep Alive Memory) to engage the starter motor again!
Hopefully this helps someone attempting to coyote swap their car/truck!

Hey Guys and Gals, Sooo, the alternator has gone out on the 2013 Police Interceptor Ford Explorer. We have a "Check Charging System" error on the dash lights, and a code in the PCM. Hey Guys and Gals, Sooo, with high mileage comes switches giving out. At almost to 500,000 miles on this 2012 F-150 these switches have seen their share of miles and uses. Manufacturers do this shit, and this is exactly why I won't buy any of this new garbage. I've never had to "prime" my fucking engine in my 1990s Ford Truck.
It's not a requirement. It's more... Fyi for when you change oil. If you're paranoid about "cam phasers" being an issue. Alot of these trucks and engines are getting close to 10 years old, and most likely out of warranty. I'm just trying to spread info to help ford owners 🤠

So basically, starting the engine would prime it the same way with less wear on the starter. Either way the engine spins.
Yes, it will prime the motor without starting it... Which when starting it, is harder on the working components like the cam phasers. This little trick allows the oil pump to fully prime the system without firing the cylinders and having more pressure added to the cam phasers while they "search" for their dowels that lock them in while the engine is running.

It's called clear flood mode . It works for most cars . Try it before you rely on it ! Or unplug the coils or coil

I have this EXACT same issue on my 2011 FX4 (only 37k miles). But, for some unknown reason, when this issue occurred, I also sporadically lost my factory backup camera. I can't imagine how a rear driver-side door harness could affect the backup camera simultaneously. I'm wondering whether the harnesses located under our driver seat might have similar issues... Anyone have thoughts or advice on this issue? That is, if there is no way that rear door broken wiring could impact the backup camera connection, then I would bet anything that my particular issue is a couple feet upstream beneath the driver's seat, where tons of other connections come together. Thank you to anyone who might respond!
I honestly am not sure if they're connected. The camera going out is very common unfortunately. Mine lasted till about 375k miles, then started giving me reverse image or not at all. Hopefully someone else does have some input 🤠

I understand, it can be frustrating. Did you run your codes? Does it have any pending codes saying what might be wrong?
I have replaced the coil and ignition module on a unit with 5 hours on it and even this trick will not get it running. it has a weak orange spark and will not even run on ether.
Dang, I'm sorry to hear that. Have you tested the compression? Perhaps a ground wire is causing a weak spark

@@SmashingPunkFan Got it running tonight! Out of nowhere I got a bright blue spark but still no start. I could not find the right hose to test compression so i took the valve cover off and found that the intake pushrod had popped out at 14 hours. So now I have two spare ignition modules and a spare coil lol

How do I get the regulator down if no battery ? How you pull from junkyard ?
I got mine from a junkyard that they pulled it and had it at a countertop ready to buy. I believe there is a bolt on the regulator you can "unbolt or bolt" and it should make the motor come up or down
