If the white large plug is not used how do you get to reverse or turn on the blades

I have the 30" version. It had a side fill plug, (and no slide out battery tray) much like most automotive differentials, which ususaly is also how you check for "full" as you fill till it begins to overflow out this side plug. My operators manual had nothing in it about this maintenance procedure and no quantity , so I tried doing it the automotive way (which still after a quart did not overflow). So I quit after a quart, but I am pretty sure this was wrong, because after a half acre of mowing, it stopped driving (at lease at full speed). It is in Hawaii and I had left it with my caretaker there. He did all kinds of resistence testing and thought it was a control module, but I am suggesting drainning the gear box and we try and get the proper amout that it takes. What came out was maybe 6 oz..Way less that a quart. Thanks

After you click setup motors FOC and click no to load defaults. You skip the stops for usage and motor, they are required to get other battery,

I have a flipsky 75200 controller on my bike. everything works fine for me except for one thing. when I move the bike backwards I can't give gas to go forward, the gas handle doesn't respond. it happens when im on a step hell and the bike is moving a litle bit backward becase i stop for a second. only if I come to a complete stop I can give gas . (Bicycles only have forward mode)

I had to change the Drive Motor Controller and that did it.

I did this mod and after mowing the volts resting are 51.3 but the bar and % show 60%. Charging port blinks rapidly, I think that means its about 80%. Something is not reading correctly? May simply be the quality of the gauge?

I purchased and programmed this "new" gauge, and everything seems to be working... but...my LIFePo4 Eco-Worthy 51.2V 50Ah battery seems to lose some voltage while not being used. After charging with P3648 Smart Charger, new gauge reads 100% and 54.5-55V; but after a few days the % falls to 97 and voltage drops to 53.5-54. Someone else did the conversion on this Ryobi 480e about 6months ago. Is this normal for the LiFePo4 batteries or might I have a bad gauge? I did disconnect the Camway replacement gauge and shunt. Love your instructional video, took a few tries to get the sequence correct with the button pushing.

Do you if this also works for a ZT540e?

I'm in the middle of doing my conversion. I noticed the guage always stays on. Is this normal? The back light turns off but it continues to display even after turning the key off

You didn’t show the connections you made, your hand obscured the wiring hookup of the switch!

So this will probably sound odd... But since i have 8 18volt 9amp batteries already if I wired them in parallel and used a 18-48 volt boost converter that should theoretically run the mower right? I realize it probably wouldn't have a long run time but i already have the batteries and only cut about 1/3 of an acre 0:05

I have a flipsky pro v2 on a bafang. But it gives a hard punch to the motor at the bottom of the gas handle. It feels just like a punch u also hear it. Can i get this away by curving the voltage / amps?

Thanks for the video! Note: you can open up the original controller, scrape off the rubber coating on the screws holding the wires and remove the wiring harness intact. There's 4 screws holding a plastic end retaining plate that can be removed releasing the entire harness from the metal box. The gives you more wire to work with and more options to connect to the vesc.

Thanks so much for detailing your fixes and upgrades. Despite being (slowly) superseded, these mowers are still a relatively basic, but awesome workhorse to have on an acre or 2 with the bonus of being able to be worked on and repaired. They're far less trouble than most petrol (gas) mowers and can continue to be refuelled by the sun......maybe even into the next decade or more.

My ryobi starts for a second with no power, the motor won’t work to drive. If I turn on the blades it’s the same. I have batteries charged. Seems like a controller. What’s the first thing to check

Is this for lithium batteries. Only? I have a controller failure on mine. Should I do this?

My ryobi 30 rider, just started doing this, it stops like it’s bogging, just acts like it’s out of power. You turn it on and it works a second, turns off, the battery’s are good, a,ways charged. Seems like a controller limiting it. The battery indicated never worked right, unit is 2 years old.

So no battery shunt required like with other guages? I like it, and it looks like the factory gauge and no cutting the hole bigger either.

Thanks for the vid Ryan. What is the mod# for the charger? If the 48v 100ah lifepo4 battery was used instead of the 50ah, would the charger still charge the 100ah? And when looking to purchase the charger, are the amps critical and if so what amperage should the charger provide? Thanks!
