Hi mate, what kind of error are you getting? Are you sure it is ARkit or could be it be AR Foundation?

Could I add 2 mesh to my project and each mesh has a 3d object and when i build and run those 2 3d objects appear? I tried to add two mesh but only one mesh seems to appear
Yes, you can add as many meshes as you wish and add any 3D objects to any of these meshes.When working with multiple Meshes, downloaded from the Geospatial Browser you can change the AR Location that is supposed to be tracked like this: //You could create an array of ARLocation and store all downloaded AR location manifests here. Then based on a dropdown menu //or button set the current location like this: //SerializeField ARLocationManager _arLocationManager _arLocationManager.StopTracking(); ARLocation[] locations = new[] { location }; _arLocationManager.SetARLocations(locations); _arLocationManager.StartTracking();
Hi, my project is working fine in my unity editor but when i build it and run it on my phone i click on create room and it takes the photo like its supposed to but start button doesn't get enabled can u help me
Hm good question this can have multiple reasons. What I’d recommend is to use a script called zLog, it will print the console to your phone screen while running the app on your device: stackoverflow.com/questions/67704820/how-do-i-print-unitys-debug-log-to-the-screen-gui You can then use Debug Log to set log statements and debug your app. Also Make sure to always set the localization type to image localization before doing your build and not have it to mock localization. Hope this helps :)

Hii, Alive Studios this video is too great. I am just a beginner in unity and currently working on AR application. where I want to create flood simulation environment in my room (like water rising, water flowing) when viewed from mobile. how accurately the plane is detected with just AR foundation. Please give any suggestions like what should I start with (the tools, plugins).
It’s very depending on the phone you are using, but generally you can also get pretty good results with the plane detection of AR Foundation. I am a fan of starting with the easiest / most undemanding features possible e.g. plane detection and only if it does not give the desired result, switch it with meshing.
The camera in the phone is not able to detect the object what should be done

Hello, first of all, I want to say that your tutorial is really great and it helped solve my confusion about positioning objects with the ARDK tool. However, I have a further question: how can I adjust or set an object to be placed exactly on the roof of a building? Since users who are experiencing it might not always be standing on the ground-they could be at different heights or angles. Is there a more intuitive way to position objects accurately in the right spot to better match the user's perspective? Thank you!
So on a rooftop, maybe the Google Geospatial API might be the right thing for you. It allows you to use Google maps for positioning Objects in AR. developers.google.com/ar/geospatialcreator/unity I did try it out a couple of times, however I have to say that it seems to be a bit dated and I also couldn't get it to work on iOS. Truly thank you for your tutorial.. My only issue would be that I got stuck after finishing the first script since the element WPS did not enable anything after finishing writing the Script.. it was there, but blocked, like if the script was not updated(writen inside) would be truly helpful to know how to solve this... and again, really thank you for the amazing work.

Hey, I just started learning AR, and I'm trying to implenet the AR Magic Bar in the "cross platform AR Multiplayer game" that you made and I was wondering what should I do to make it work in a multiplayer game so that both host and client can place objects, right now I created a CubeObject and in CubeObject_Placeable I have multiple scripts and I'm changing them to NetworkBehaviour. could you let me know if this approach is correct or should I be doing something else? Hi mate that’s a great idea! I planned to fully support this by default in a future update. But it might still take a while. You are already on the right track. As a rough idea I’d add a network object component to all the the parents of the „_placeable“, objects, then change the ARPlacementPlaneMesh script on the magic bar to after instantiating the gameobject call a new method e.g. TriggerSpawnOnNetworkServerRpc. Get the network objects as a component and pass it as a parameter to the new method. Same with the client id which is inherited my the network behavior. In the new method, spawn with ownership and set the client id as the owner. Make sure to have all the objects registered in the network object list on the network manager. It’s a bit complex but I hope this helps :)

Unfortunately that is a problem with any kind of App, I often see people not paying attention to their surroundings. Maybe in AR the players at least see what’s in front of them through the camera on their screen.

Really unique and good tutorial!! But i am having an issue at the 50 min mark where there all of a sudden a playerdata game object was added it wasnt there before and i am not able to stop multiple spawns of the character. would appreciate your help
Hi mate , did you already try to compare your code with the final code in the video description? I am not quite sure if I get your question right, does it mean that the creation of the playerdata does not work correctly for you or does the player data get created correctly but you are still able to spawn the character multiple times?

@@warrenraging22 I rewatched this part again, did you guys attach the AllPlayerDataManager to a GameObject inside of the Scene? I think I might have missed to show this in the video. You can see under the hierarchy on the upper left hand side is a Gameobject called "PlayerData". I simply did a rightclick onto an empty spot in the hierarchy , created an empty GameObject and dragged the AllPlayerDataManager.cs script into the inspector.

how could i possibly make the player be able to "collect" the pre placed objects?

Good question. It would definitely be a welcomed feature, though extremely resource intensive. I would guess you’d have to implement this algorithm by yourself at the current moment, but it will probably make the phone overheat in a few seconds.

The versions of lightship are not made for specific phones but simply improving and adding features. If you have an older phone or a rather low end one, AR foundations features like plane detection might work better as they are less resource intense.

How did you get the shadows to roughly align with the actual lighting of the scene?
It uses light / shadow estimation based on the camera image :)

Yes, be aware though that the setup for an AR scene is a bit different and that there is no XR simulator in 2021

Hi mate, sadly it is currently not possible to build from windows to iOS. The best option I found when researching was this: assetstore.unity.com/packages/tools/utilities/ios-project-builder-for-windows-15522 I don't know if this actually works though.

Skipping loader initialization. UnityEditor.EditorApplication:Internal_PlayModeStateChanged (UnityEditor.PlayModeStateChange) 2. once i have all things set up, how do i get the project to run on my android device after i click build and run? like do I just have to connect my laptop to my android device via usb and the project would just appear?
