if you never played any other soulsborne game from fromsoftware, just know it's the easiest dark souls game lol. but, wayfinding/finding map is complicated and harder as much. you start with a bad character, but your character became better in mid-game and maybe a god in late-game. i finished the game first with all bosses + optional bosses on a 36 hours experience. i killed many bosses in only one try, and some bosses with a few tries. it was not a hard one for me. but ngl I FCKING HATE TOMB OF GIANTS. there shouldn't be in the game, it should be deleted. i hate it, it's much harder than all of bosses in the game. i only played elden ring and a little bit of ds3 before. i am going to play ds2 next, soon. people says ds2 is much better than ds1, i'm excited. i didn't watched the full video because i'm outside btw, sorry if i have any mistakes. i suggest you to play ds2, i'm gonna start playing it soon too.

if you' re creative enough, minecraft is still a fun game. when im playing with bros we usually built things like castles, manors, hidden places, traps etc.. (i myself built a backrooms under our houses with traps and other stuff. it even had other backrooms levels.) so anyways after all it's not story game it's a sanbox game. You can do almost everything you want. well i think it's better with mods tho'.

i didn't watch even 1 second of this video bc im too impatient, but I saw the title and low view count, so I know you'll see this. i may be rambling completely irrelevantly bc i didnt watch the video. but based on the title, that's got to suck. people sometimes mention the 8-8-8 thing: 8 hours of sleep, 8 hours of work, 8 hours of whatever you want. but bc of travel and getting ready for work, the 16 hours of non-working time isn't actually the full 16 hours. 4 hours a day commuting leaves you only 12 hours, and that's not even counting all your other responsibilities. you want 8 hours sleep? then only 4 hours of your own stuff. you want 8 hours of your own stuff? only 4 hours of sleep. or you can split it 6 and 6 hours, but that's still not much sleep and not much of your own time bc of other responsibilities. since i didn't watch the video, idk why you can't just get another job, and idk your family situation any how many other people you have to take care of. but i wish you the best of luck with everything. i know 4 hours commute is mentally draining and depressing because youre not really doing anything. it's like you are being forced to waste time. travel benefits nobody or anything, but is still completely necessary. i'm sure that's gotta be awful when it's that long. hopefully you can get a different job soon that's much closer or remote and save you at least 3 hours a day. until then, gl with everything

Not in Germany but I was in a uni that purposefully mixed up the dorms and campuses. So instead of using the way it was designed, we traveled via 2-3 transportation types 3h one way, so 6h a day in total. I had to wake up at 5am to catch the earliest train and returned around 11pm. No time for sleep, let alone homework. Not to mention the cost of spending whole days in the city campus, because you gotta eat, stay warm in winter etc. Needless to say I dropped out, the self-offing rate in that uni/city is astronomical. I hope your internship is slightly more humaine and worth it, wishing you the best 💪

I've had to stop one piece just before the fish man arc because the AI subtitles have ruined it for me. It's awful

In Germany the average commuting time is 80 minutes per day. I think the problem is that you picked an internship, which is very far away. I bet you commute more than 30 kilometers per direction. Before taking a new job, always check the time it takes to commute. If it is faster to bike to the next train station, then do it. You can buy a used bike and a lock for less than 100 Euros. I didn't understand the Autobahn part. Autobahn is only for cars, anything else is forbidden. When you check possible routes in google maps, make sure to pick the bike as mode of transportation. To be honest, the best move would be to move closer to your work, especially if you want to work in that area after the internship or find a new internship somewhere near.

I have realized that the long term direction of the games industry is to push for more and more complex games; That require about as much capital as a game ever should need. And to achieve this level of capital they have gone to all the most wealthy companies and individuals. Along the way caring about the game had to be sacrificed in order to organize these mega companies otherwise they would not have gotten big enough to compete. I agree that it is going downhill because I don't know how it will get better. We need a mega company to go all in on caring. I think the last and maybe only time that happened in my life was for world of warcraft. The sad thing about that was that it was a huge success. But in the complete lack of competition afterward the game was able to continue doing well enough even when they stopped caring. It took a long time to demonstrate how much caring matters and that even a billionare CEO can be fired for this mistake. But I don't think anyone actually paid enough attention to learn from it.

Loving Palworld, kinda wish the late game wasn't such a grind though. I think the mistake is that base progression is tied to player level, which is tied to getting experience... which the only current way to do that meaningfully is to capture 12 of every single pal in the game to get those recapture exp bonuses. It's like if you played pokemon and instead of battling trainers for exp, you had to go out in the grass and catch 300 butterfree. It's just extremely tedious for no reason. I have faith that the devs will address this at some point though. They seem to be pretty good at taking player feedback and making the game better.

They did warn their playerbase that the next big updates would take a moment to be done. They even told their playerbase "Play lots of games, try different genres, and frequently flick through indie libraries to find hidden gems". I'm sure a whole lot of their playerbase will come back when there's a big enough update to be worth spending more days and weeks. The latest update is on the right track, with the new Raid boss, the Arena mode and more! But there's a whole new map coming too... Basically the same as Genshin impact. Before Inazuma, the game slowed down a whole lot.. Then Inazuma came in, it got everyone excited! ... then it slowed down again... The Chasm wasn't a big enough update, so player stayed put.. until Sumeru came in, then they came back in drove!

Oof, yes it is understandable that you felt humiliated, but I think it's not so much because other people will think you are not strong but because they will think that you are a poor judge of your own capabilities, and no person (especially not an adult male) wants other people to think they're not "in control". But it sounds like you learnt the right lesson - there's nothing wrong with asking for help, people are almost always happy to help and they won't disparage you for it. And especially at the gym, I go to a very ordinary gym and the people there are very friendly and happy to help when I need it. I've been going to the gym for a few years now (for the exercise, not to become muscular) and I've never gone heavier than 30kg on the bench press, I'm terrified that my skinny arms will fail and that the barbell will fall on my neck! Anyway, I hope you are able to find a therapist soon, thanks for talking honestly :)

You are right, im a uni student specializing in AI and almost everyday I think about AI being regulated. its like a bubble forming. at one point we might just run out of good free data. and maybe in the future the data and information that is considered to be free for everyone to have, will start having a price tag. Its a future I never want to see jus because it isnt developed to protect people and can be used for malice. Knowing that it might just become my future job, im just really scared for everyone in every field. I feel like first, the artists should be protected, that is the field being affected a lot. Feels like a dystopia. Im worried that we might just not be able to "Just google it". With how everything is following a subscription model, we might just see google being entirely replaced with AI for a basic keyword search.

Agree 10000000% ai need regulation as soon as possible, we’re already having scams where people get phone calls from an ai voice version of their relatives and people are already falling for ai images and misinformation, and it’s only going to get better (worse for us). I’m about to start collage to become an artist and I’m scared my future career might be nonexistent by the time i graduate. We just have to have hope that AI will be regulated sooner than later I guess.

The calls to "regulate" AI comes partly from the same industry. Why? Because they want to build up that bogeyman bigger than it really is. Today's AI will never surpass the human mind, because it IS NO real intelligence. It is just a marketing trick, to make you think, it is intelligence. It is not. What AI is, is statistical methods to use human generated content to deduct favorable outcomes -- and the real threat AI is, is not that it will surpass humans, but that humans are overrating AI and think that it can do more, as it really is. Like sitting in a "AI controlled" car and crashing it, because the AI does not comprehend the traffic situation. Big corporations want "regulation" because AI is their new tool to foster their own market position against smaller companies that can not afford the hardware- and regulation expenditure that comes with it.

The top 4 aren't aiming for that market, they are aiming for corporate usage of AI, they don't care too much about the social aspect. The voice is really good for customer service for example, but also its an audio classifier, not a speech classifier, which makes it useful in listening applications too. The LLM themselves are intelligent enough for task management and execution. They definitely want users to generate additional clean data for them, it's really most of the low-level AI companies like CharacterAI that are targeting these lonely people. Id personally choose the former, though you are correct, we should have laws in place to protect people, I'd say something like penalizing deepfakes should be priority #1. Also, I don't think OpenAI even attempted to get Johannson's voice, it's kind of there but I think it's more of a mental bias that makes it sound like her. I think regulating how companies get their data may happen, but regulating models themselves is going to be as effective as the War on Drugs, or trying to ban torrenting. This is ultimately a consumer problem, not an AI problem; people blindly trust anything they're shown if it supports their views. AI or not, this is just a tool to help with that, not like most people read beyond a headline anyways. The solution is, frankly simple, in my mind; learn to distrust information from unknown sources again. This is just exposing problems that, existed across the internet, only made big and bad because it's "AI". In trying to regulate the models themselves, not only do I think it's a loosing fight from the get-go, since, even models from HuggingFace aren't bad, and can be ran locally. If those sites went down tomorrow, I would put money, myself and others would still be trading models. And really, how could you stop us? Piracy is illegal, yet, how many of us at one point have played a game we didn't purchase, or run a crack-gen program? Nuking AI with regulation, I genuinely think will ONLY harm "good", well regulated, AI companies, so we need to be reasonable and careful with the sorts of regulation we put in place too.

I'm a little surprised that you didn't mention the sound, which is a major part of the movie. I also initially got a little impatient during the first three minutes, when there is a blank screen but numerous sounds, but I came to realise that the film is training the audience to pay attention to the sound, telling us that the sound is important. And then, during the film, although we are watching a family performing quite unremarkable daily tasks, it is the sounds in the background from the Auschwitz concentration camp that are important - the family is living a normal life while, over the fence, there are gunshots and shouting and mechanical noises and other sounds that make us aware of the horror that is occurring off-screen. Incidentally, that is why this movie won the sound awards at the various awards shows. Anyway, I'm glad that you liked the film, the direction really is quite striking and although the film is not an easy or conventionally entertaining film, it is well worth watching and thinking about :)
