This is a video explaining how to carve a Poodle out from the Show Puppy Cut to the Continental
In the UK they’re not supposed to spray up but everyone does openly
Extreme look 30-40 blade: ears/back of tail. Otherwise 5F: ears and back/tip of tail #1/Orange comb: top line - just past withers to before base of tail, back of hind legs (pin bone to just above hock) and inside of hind legs, reverse comb for tuck up (to elbow) O/Yellow comb (A comb if longer/2 for pet trims): below ear to point of shoulder then skim, body/chest - withers to tuck up, shelf avoiding base of tail, also armpit Remainder is scissor work with Julie’s directions!
I am putting my 1 year old girl in a continental. I am not sure where I should stop her jacket at. I measured her today she is 2 feet long breast bone to pin bone, she is 2 feet tall from floor to shoulder. I’m afraid of making it too short and having to wait for it to grow back in. Any pointers would be great.
Beautiful pup! Very informative, thank you!
I always like to re watch and refresh on how to do such a nice job that Julie demonstrates.
Such a beautifully relaxed dog.
I think this is similar to the sporting clip minus the ears being shaved and tail. Thank you!
Excellent video. I always like to refresh before grooming . Thank you.
Using this for the trim I want on my boy but not doing the German tail and ears as he doesn't quite have a face for that. Has great ears.
Love this look! Very clear video
Beautiful! 31:48
What kind of pillow is that for her chin?
One from “ Pants for dogs “
Your work is amazing, love the European cut on this beautiful poodle!
I keep reviewing until I get it right. Im enjoying grooming now as a hobby since I don't have to show my kids any longer.
I like your clippers. I’m no longer a groomer so my clippers are my old A5. I like the cordless
What a good girl bubbles is.
New novice groomer have 3 clients letting me to practice my trims with There poodles and one doodle. Can I use thinners instead of chunkers. I am still saving for chunkers and blenders. I have curves straights and thinners
What the brand of your stand dryer.? I couldn't hear. I have a standard poodle, too, so this video is very informative. I am sure Jupiter will appreciate that I have found a new way for faster drying and removing his curls.
I always feel for the poor dogs having to endure this standing still for a long time to get the “ perfect “ cut.
I feel bad for the matted neglected dogs that don’t get groomed on a regular schedule that never get brushed or taken care of and have to have their matted coats shaved off right to the skin or endure hours of dematting tugging and pulling at them…… feel bad for those dogs……
Great ❤ thanks
Razor burn. So many get razor burn. Beautiful dog.
oil your scissors they squeek so bad, probably irritating to the dog
Ok, I’ll be sure to do that 😅 thanks for the criticism
How did you do the ears?
I bevel the bottoms of them with curved shears :-)
How long does the fluff normally last?
Depends on humidity in the air, and if the dog gets wet or not :-)
Thank you for sharing this guide! Can't wait to try this out
How old is this poodle? PLEASE!
When I did this video, she may have been around eight?
I may have missed it, but what blade is she using for the face?
Thank you very much for the video and all the information. I love the result. You did an amazing job. ♥️
What size blade? I know you use the 2 comb.
These wonderful doggies put up with so much -- what angels :) Great shearing too!! :)
Beautiful dog as always, great details on exactly what needs to be done and how you are doing and why you are doing. My fav style is to leave a bigger mane, especially for the balance on these standards. I watched to get any pointers, but the camera angle was a fail. Once you got to the neck/shoulder, your shoulder was blocking siteline. Beautiful job finished
You said tight jacket does that mean you should or should not have more neck hair if you’ve got it? Wondering if I could show a toy this way
The demo dog has terrible teeth. I'm kind of shocked.
Beautiful!! Thank you!!
great tutorial, excellent descriptions, step-y-step
Will you post more videos i enjoy your tutorials?
How do you tell clients this result isn't possible without regular grooming?
Stunning work !! I have watched your videos for years ! What length of Zolitta scissor did you use for the rosettes ? Are they the 7.5" extreme curved ?
They are the smaller regular curved ones, not the super curved :-)
The description of exactly what you are doing is one of the best tutorials on this that I have seen yet.
Thank you for your video :)
Thank you for teaching me this. I normally take the dog to a professional, but if something were to happen to my job I couldn't afford that. I bought a nice pair of dog clippers and will carefully apply your teaching!
Va a ser calva
Your scissoring skills are amazing
Great video. Clear and specific!❤
Absolutely devine perfect poodle groom..ill try it on my toy s..might need dryer holder list goes on an energy
Thank you for all the videos. They have helped me improve my grooming skills. I would love to see you groom young poodles as they learn to accept grooming. I want to improve my skills with wiggly puppies so that they learn to enjoy grooming and not pull away from having the area around their nose and chin clipped. All other areas have been easier to condition using a lick mat as a distraction 😊
Sharing Julie Wilkins with my puppy buyers helping them learn to bath, blow and understand grooming. I tell everyone this is the best poodle groomer and just the nicest human being. We all just love Julie Wilkins.
Wie bekommt man die Rute so buschig. All meine Pudel haben eine Rute mit paar Fusseln wie gerupft
