It's honestly small enough that you can walk around the whole of St. Pierre with ease. Miquelon-Langlade is bigger, but there is a really great tour of the islands at the tourism office there. Thanks for checking out my video! You should definitely go and visit it! ✌️

That's too bad about your hotel. I had a really nice experience at the b&b that I stayed in. I asked about the ferry, and they said that because it crosses such open water, there was a risk of waves and someone falling over. I also was there when it was pretty cold, so I had no desire to see the outside of the boat :D What restaurant are you going to? ✌️

It was optional, I did when the service was good. I was also there in the off-season so I felt bad if I didn't as they weren't very busy at the time.

It's actually part of France, so while many tourist shops will accept Canadian dollars, the local currency is the Euro. The bank machines will distribute Euro for you from your bank account back home, just be sure to choose the "let my own bank do the conversion" otherwise you pay a worse rate of exchange through the machine. I wouldn't go that far now. The trains in the US are perfectly serviceable, and are a great way to see the country. The high speed rail in other places is for commuting at a high speed, and is very expensive, more than flying. Amtrak is also very affordable, considering how far the distances are, and I'm surprised more people don't use it. I had nothing but great experiences.

I lived in Japan for a year, and the high speed trains were more expensive than flying, and that was 20+ years ago. I've had friends go to Europe and complain about the cost of transportation there quite a lot. Chicago to Portland was a three day ride and was less than $200. Was a great way to see the country. ✌️

Yeah, I swear like half the pictures I've taken through Mexico are of cats and dogs that I've befriended.

I was surprised to see so many large American trucks there, considering all the narrow streets!

Just about everywhere I've been so far, from the street-side tacos, to the nicer sit down restaurants, have been a homerun!

I would probably just park somewhere in San Diego itself, and then take the train from downtown San Diego to the border. I didn't see a lot of long term parking at the border itself, but I got off the train, so there may be be options I just didn't see.

The buses were as fun an experience as anything. I just wish there was better information online about the local buses in a lot of places. ✌️

Yeah,the waves were really cool. I was there on a pretty calm day too, from what I read. On stormy days they get much higher.

Think of it more like provincial France. Everyone said it was really similar to smaller French towns. I haven't been to France myself, so just basing it on that.✌️

Well, three asada and three fish.. But who's counting. Caracol was cool if you're into science and culture stuff. Hussongs turned me off almost immediately. Was so packed. Have another homestay lined up in La Paz as well, and a week in Mulege, thanks to you! ✌️

The Science Center was fantastic, everyone was really helpful and there was a ton if information. Great for kids of all ages 😊

The dogs were awesome, often hanging out with me in the rental :) Yeah, the heat wasn't terrible there along the waterfront, but the break from it was welcomed for sure. I generally don't mind the heat, even if I'm sweating buckets, but I just don't want to look gross around other people. 😂
