Any chance of a video about your non-bladed tools, e.g. carabiners and pry bars? It would be cool to here your thoughts about how you designed them, how you rate other ones (e.g. Voxnaes's Pryma!), how they can make up for the lack of a knife in restricted environments (like when I'm in Denmark, it's not normally legal to carry a knife, so I have a Victorinox Jetsetter). Hope you have time to look at that side of your output!
Hi Jens, I also always have problems with my name in starbucks! Aleio Alex Eles…never ALESSIO
Sorry to miss you this trip!! 😢 I hope you guys have a great show. Tell everyone I said hello!
A modular knife that allowed you to add additionally functionality via the scales would be really sweet. I personally don't have much use for a corkscrew, so being able to swap it out with something else is a really neat concept.
Hope I find you to say gday!
I like your 2 blade thought, especially, like you said, if the pen blade is "pointy" enough and sharp enough to remove splinters. Maybe add small tweezers, too, like the Swiss army knife. Obviously, having 2 blades like that allows the knife to do more things, thus handier...just like your Swiss Army knife.
what I‘d like to see on a slipjoint, which doesn‘t exist yet: one-handed opening :D I guess that might be impossible, but maybe you can figure something out.
You should check out the spyderco ukpk and the urban models, the bestech junzi is worth a look
About the SAK being legal to carry everywhere: that‘s subject to change in germany unfortunately, as the government is about to change the law of weapons to a point where the bladelength mustn‘t exceed 6cm. Most SAK blades are longer. Just ridiculous. :( About the corkscrew: As a kid I thought the more features, the cooler the SAK and of course the corkscrew was one of the features that was always there with the bigger ones. As a kid, I loved it, nowadays I hate them. I don‘t drink wine, I dislike the big footprint and look and sometimes they rip your pockets. Just look at Laguioles. They‘re looking great as the plain basic version. With a corkscrew, they look like an abomination which had a severe accident. ^^ please don‘t :D
I agree with your thoughts.
I like the blade of my slipjoint knife to snap open in place and have zero blade play, just like the Spyderco UKPK(my all-time favorite non-locking knife)👍 My biggest issue with most slipjoint knives is how most slipjoints have blades which easily move/wiggle, which gives me no confidence in hand when using them.
hello
That's awesome. I also spent the weekend w my Dad and brother. We went pheasant hunting. We got 15 birds, but the time spent together was the best part.
Looks like you had an amazing time! Thank you for sharing ❤
Loving these videos!!! So good 👌
Really like this video "How is day going"
Have been binging your videos Jens. Very interesting to get a look behind the scenes and what your design process looks like.
*stop the music*
Grind time 🙌
I'm a thin pen guy, too. Mont Blanc was my Dads style.
Looks like an awesome week!!
A quality product always sells
I am really glad you finally considering an accessory for Astra. How about one that fits Tool, bit for Astra, Astra with one implement attached and places for others (4?).
The hardest thing is you can never find the right type of pouch! Been through loads, and this will solve that issue. Oh yes Jens, I need one or two!
deja vu
Ya. By mistake we uploaded the wrong version. Only difference was the new added intro.
A great video as always, even if I have seen it yesterday!

Fun and interesting post, Jens. Thank you. What a gorgeous and useful piece of working art. As an aside, the link to your website above works fine. I don't know why the link included in your last email to me is deemed dangerous by something like an antivirus program or whatever.
Great size.
Thank you very much. It is in my opinion and taste the perfect EDC size.
The Sonic is an absolute beast!!!
😊🙏🏻
That’s why I love my Timascus/Damascus Haddock so much!
Thanks so much. Make me happy to hear.
@@jensanso love it and I carry it almost everywhere!
Why don't you like left handed people, Mr. Anso?
I like left handed people but my brain can’t wrap around switching everything 180 degrees. All my fixture etc are meant for right handed. Left handed knives takes me about 50% longer to make but there is no justification of a higher price so easier to not offer it.
@@jensanso Symmetry is another option. Sure, not perfect symmetry (unless you use a cross bar/axis lock or something similar)...But an opening hole accessible from both scales/sides and a clip mounting position on both scales/sides goes a long way. I've loved a lot of your knife designs over the years, but I am left handed, so while they're still great to look at, they're harder to use/EDC.
Really enjoy hearing your break down on material choices for function and aesthetics. Congrats on the new design!
Thanks so much. Glad you enjoy it.
That nice is beautiful 😍
Much appreciated 😊👌🏻
Absolutely stunning design. It would be cool to see a channel or something milled on the lock side, to give more access to the opening hole from that side on a future variant. Yet another amazing and beautiful knife design from you, keep up the great work.
I can see what you mean though this design more or less dictated the lock side as is.
Thanks Arnold
🤗
Honest to God I thought you were Arnold Schwarzenegger when I heard you speaking. ❤
I moonshine work as his voice stunt double!
You have implemented the agile methodology (Trello, iterations, process revision) in the knife production! Congrats!
It’s is quite frankly the only way I could see running a business like mine.
I just use a compass
French curves are not derived from circles. There isn’t a consistent arc radius along the curve. They are used to produce different forms than compasses and circle tools. (I’m not good at geometry so I’m not sure I’m explaining right but I use both French curves and compasses in design)
@@shoesalad5180 no I am saying that I never found a curve that I could plot without one or several passes of a compass
For me using the French curves is more about speed and and flexibility. When drawing in CAD I use a lot of curve tools with standard radiuses.
Thanks for chiming in. Perfect explanation
what's it for
It is a tool used to draw curves that and not based on standard circles or with varying radiuses. I use it to strengthen my sketches
Larger is better in this case.👍
Ya
What kind of pen?
It is a very cheap but great Pilot BP Matic.
