My husband and I are now retired, childhood sweethearts, traveling together to visit family, friends, and their pets - wheeling on trails, hiking, and enjoying nature’s diverse wildlife. The RUclips VIDEOS and SHORTS are a fun way for me to journal and document this chapter in our lives. This channel is designed to keep us connected with our current family & friends across the miles and to connect with the new friends that we meet along the way!

Wandering Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona has everything. Beaches, historical buildings, ancient ruins, world class restaurants, the list can go on and on. With it being both a working hub and vacation spot, it is very busy, and very expensive, but well worth effort and patience. With so many buildings, museums, and parks to visit, I like to take one day, just to wander and look around. It is a planned wander, but still a wander all the same. By not having any particular place to be, you can see the area and target things that looked like you would want to purchase tickets online and go inside to check it out. We got this! I didn't think I could complete both 9&11 but we did!!! It was epic and I feel so accomplished! Trail #9 (3mi) starts at the Taylor Ridge Campground. Love your video. Do any of the rest stops have places to charge your phone or other devices while you are resting? Are there camping sites along the way? I am biking daily and plan on riding the entire 78-mile trip this fall when its cooler and I love watching videos of others taking the trip. Thank you for sharing yours. :-
We’ve ridden the trail to Xenia where we branched off to go over to Columbus. In Xenia there is a park with pavilions that had power. That’s about 60 miles from the Lunken Trailhead. I think Milford Junction had power as well and there are several small towns along the way like Loveland that had restaurants, etc. I think you’ll have options. Definitely check the status of the bridge construction before you go as well. I’m not a bike packer so didn’t pay attention to the camping situation! Enjoy your ride!!!

Sugar Creek also runs through Shades State park a few miles away. Same great hiking without the extra's like nature center and pool which means far fewer crowds. I've been there week day mornings and evenings and not seen a sole. Turkey Run is great but Shades is my favorite for hiking.
That one is on our list!!! We have not been there yet. I'm so happy to hear it is awesome! Thank you for the tips!! We have a trail bucket list, and keep trying to check off as many as we can.
