From LCD to OLED: My Journey with the Steam Deck
It's been three months since I upgraded to the new Steam Deck OLED, and I'm ready to share my thoughts! In this video, I'll dive into the pros and cons of switching from the LCD model to the OLED version. Spoiler alert: It's worth it!
The Steam Deck has become my go-to gaming device, replacing even my PS5 and old consoles. With a busy lifestyle, I find it perfect for gaming before bedtime. The OLED model brings noticeable improvements: a slightly bigger and brighter screen, better controls, enhanced haptics, and improved battery life. The 90Hz refresh rate and richer colors make games look stunning, even at 720p.
I'll also talk about the challenges I faced with the LCD model and why the OLE...

How far can you stress the modded switch running linux playing a game like for example, "ultra kill" Out of curiosity

@@ReMARKCHANNEL cool thanks man
nice video bro keep going
Ayy stop making videos like this as this is probably the easiest way to kill the ps3 a shaving blade and a pair or pliers come on just terrible how many ps3s have you killed using this method
ok
Great job as always, thanks dude!
Why would you delid the cpu tho? Thw Cell CPU is a tank!
ok
There was no hen in 2010.
ok
Delid it bro
ok
It's nice to see this be experiermented with. But i think i'd stick with my PC for higher fps gaming. And keep my BC PS3 with stock clocks.
Razer with fingers works better. Less likely to mess up.
Sir i just wanna ask if you have back up nand?
@@elaigynsigne1947 hello, nope
if you have a CECHA console you should be completely removing the 90nm rsx and swapping it for a 40nm.
Thanks for this video, it helped me .😊
@@marcelvanhauwermeiren4012 always a pleasure
It’s kinda too much for a ps3 to fix see im just a kid I would need a lot for that😢😢😢
does that work with anyps2
and can i use it on 70011
Hi, I have a question. Can you RGH 3.0 your Xbox with the JR programmer? I found this guy and he’s gonna go RGH my console cause I know nothing about soldering so I’m just curious.
OI eires ele perdeu o usuário tá aqui embaixo no stick
it's a tiny one
I got the yellow light of death after trying this! Never again! Lol
Why did you even try this. I mean its a tutorial on how to remove a part of cpu but for what pourpose is this
I’ve tested loads of thermal paste patterns on my ps3 and the best one is just a pea size dot you don’t need to put that ouch on my temps never go above 60c while gaming on cpu and rsx
Did you do a De-lid on the Cell and RSX too?
Me 😁
Can this only be recharged?
-10k
Couldn't you just also remove the original Ps2 Output and make space for the HDMI output?
Yes but my ps2 was badly rusted and I didn’t take the risk to get rid of that connector cause I could easily damage the pins on board. You can take a look at the restoration video
Now a question since I thought about doing the same you did: Where did you connect the usb power cable to?
Oh it was so long ago =) as I remember there is 5v on that video output so I tried it without 5v on usb and it worked. But maybe on the fat model it’s different and you need to search for extra 5v source.
@@ReMARKCHANNEL Thanks for the Reply! I will also go for a slim modell! Ill follow your full video for the cables and try to cram it in somewhere else because I am removing the disc-drive (broken) and installing an ssd + network mini router for SMB transfer over OPL. Unfortunatelly the Mini Router also needs a USB-Power Cable so annother issue for annother time :D
Hi, will you be willing to sell one to me?
The best tool I could come up with to do deliding, was a metallic nail file. They usually have a smooth area of 1cm in the tip, where I bend it to about 100 degree angle. Then grind and wet sand the tip until its something like 0,3mm thick, pretty much as thin as you can possibly get it. Before starting the delidding, heat up the IHS with a heat gun and remeber to pull the tool little bit upwards when your slicing the silicone, so it rather touch against the IHS than the chip below the silicone. If the tool is thin enough, you can easily slice a one side in one motion, then turn it carefully in the corners and proceed to next one without taking the tool out. If the tool is not cutting the silicone easily, then continue to sand it thinner until it does. Also remember to be extra careful and slow when approaching the end to avoid scratching anything when the lid comes loose. This is where many people have fucked up in their attempt, since a tiniest scratch on the chip can destroy it.
works in fat?¡
Sure
bro put Way too much thermal past. remember, its meant to fill in the cracks, not add a layer between the CPU and heatsink.
Nice job !
thanks
Here in 2024
Hey there! Do you still have extra boards and components left over? I would happily purchase two sets! I have the CPU and PPUs
how to identify VBUS , Ground , D+, D- on both dualshock4 charging port PCB and type c PCB without multimeter ? and did you add any resistor to the type c pcb ?
Do other output work if hdmi is down?😊
In my case it worked
Lol, I though you were gonna throw the cpu off the balcony in the thumbnail. 😅
I thought great now the world is dusty 😂😂😂😂

My psp has a problem with the headphone input. The sound is all muffled & i tried blowing compressed air to no avail. It's not my headphones either, they work great on everything else. What are my options?
Just replace the jack, or the audio board with it.
Awesome work my friend! I have a question, what is that hot plate for? I assume you heated up the board but for what reason? Thank you
Hello, it’s to dry the board after washing.

Be aware the ps2 slim scratches discs
umm looks like it didnt even need to have one anymore..😂
yep=)
Very good video, unfortunately though I think you broke the CR2032 battery connector. I think those 2 little metal tabs on the top snapped off when you put in the new battery, I noticed the orbs in the main menu staying still, which means the battery is dead, or not put in correctly.
yeh took a look again, u r right=)
You are an artist sir
thank you sir
This killed one of my ps3s. I kept the rest of it for parts. From what i read, its been proven these don't cause YLOD. The capacitor chips tokens right below the cell and RSX are what go bad.
The capacitor chips are the main cause of ylod among PS3 users, but not the only one, there are some other posible causes too, there is a guy on internet who did an entire list of posible errors of what could cause it
Cell cpu is almost never the problem, its a tank. And the nec token have also been disproven, the tokwns are not the main cause, the rsx itself is
