I find so many gamers end up just playing deck or switch rather than pc or traditional consoles. I’m in that group myself. It’s so comfortable and convenient.
I have a similar experience. I ended up spending more time tinkering games or the console itself, trying to make it the best it can be. Like setting up emulation, installing certain mods to certain games. Its great having that option of " This game/rom is gonna behave this way, at this framerate, at this tdp etc" I just love that feeling of "Ok, now this game is ready for when I want to play it" even if I don't touch it in years, but I know is there ready for when I want it 😅 Btw I didn't have the same experience with the Rog Ally or the legion Go. Managing roms like in the steam deck is just not possible...
I'm not a gamer at all, but still was interesting to watch till the end, a device geek :) how about it's temperature? for example when you are playing and charging on the go?
Hello, Valve has done a great job of keeping this device cool. The cpu gets to 80-90 degrees but you won’t feel it since all hot parts are located in the middle, while hand holders are cool. But it’s a noisy son of a 🏝️
I wouldn't recommend to replace the best gaming OS with unoptimized and overhead heavy bloatware on a handheld. Just a personal oppinion / observation. I am regularly gaming on Windows on my main rig and a gaming laptop, but steam OS is a thousand times better, especially on steam deck.
@@digglerdiggler yeah the thing is Steam doesn’t have all the game cause of anti cheat and stuff so i wanna know if its playeble. I saw some even make it dual setup

I haven’t tried it, I prefer steam os. But from what I watched on RUclips, it seems to be ok.👌
