Catch Dinner or Starve!! Bank Fishing Challenge.
In this bank fishing challenge, I'm on a mission to catch my dinner before I have to head off to work. The pressure is on as I target multiple species including Walleye, Crappie, Red Eyes, Smallmouth Bass, Catfish, White Bass, and Bluegill. To start, I'm using a Kastmaster lure, but after some time with no bites, I switch to a Panther Martin #6 Spinner, and then to a Mimic Minnow.
With only an hour before I have to head to work, I have to work quickly and effectively to catch something worth keeping. Along the way, I share tips and tricks for bank fishing in a reservoir, as well as the gear and techniques that I'm using to try and land a fish. As always, I'm fishing by the Ohio fishing reg...

Never Lose Another Fish Again: Master the Palomar Knot and Become a Pro Angler Today!
Great to the point video. Is the only wieght your using the wieght on lure?
What happened to your forearms? They look like they got burn really bad...sorry dude.
Thhe gold ones good on rainbows
They advertise the Panther to not need a swivel. Is this true?
The hook is replaceable it just takes a lot of time and some small pliers. The panther martin has to be the #1 all around lure!
Wait… You didn’t catch any minnows. This trapping minnows tips, tricks, etc. sucks. Why would you even post it?
Do you have an extra weight on top of the panther martin so it allows you to cast farther?
Why mono over floral? Also you can change the hooks on the PMs! I cut the stock one off with my drum-ell tool then use a very small snap ring! (for a very small snap ring pliers) look to jewelry supply it’ll make the job way easier in fact it makes it possible! All that’s left is your choice of hooks! Believe me it works can’t say what hooks l actually use that part’s for y’all to figure out LOL!
He was caught in fortescue nj on bloodworm he was from millville
spinner with a barrel swivel....nah
I don’t use one but it helps with line twists
@@TheBigE_556 true, sometimes the spinenr doesnt work
I found i get much less strikes if i use a swivel. It's weird
Thanks. Just bought 2 different colors of waxies.. 🤞🏽
The black and red one has been a killer for me !
They are great.
Make some pickled fish
Spinning reel, notspincast. Spincast reels sit on top of the rod and have a pushbutton for casting.
Yea, I made a mistake. Whoops, happens. I knew what I was trying to say lol
😢
Thanks for watching.
Promo SM
What are you talking about?
Thanks for the hack, will definitely try this waxies.
No problem. It's a good one. Went fishing with some company and they just couldn't understand how I got my limit of trout so quickly.
What size panther Martin for creek trout?@@BloodKnotAngling
I have been wanting to do a rockbass catch and cook for a long time!
That would be a good one. Rock bass are underrated eaters.
Walleye!
Yes sir
Next time, so us how you cook them up!
Alright, deal.
I think I'm going to need a bigger boat 😂
Maybe, just a boat? Lol
So let me get this straight just so we are clear step 1 put bait in cage step 2 put cage in water step 3 catch minnows and last a final step release minnows that I worked so hard to get the go to the store and buy minnows
No, I just didn’t have a use for them at the moment. There's no point in keeping the bait. It's not really hard work unless waiting sounds difficult to you.
@@BloodKnotAngling🤣😂🤣
Dude you can put bread on a hook and bluegill will bite
If you think bread will out fish that, be my guest.
Awesome. Great job landing that hog on 4lb test .
That's something, ain't it?
Wonderful tricks, especially 03:55 I would love to try it out for sure. Nice camera work as well. 👍
Thanks, I always try to give out helpful tips, not only good for fishing but good if you have aquarium fish too.
@@BloodKnotAngling nice, 👍
Nice video bro
Thanks
Pineapple
I wonder if that would be a good bait for the trap 🤔
I'm doing this. Minnows are getting expensive.
Yea, they really are.

So easy!
The video was originally good, but thanks for reposting with better quality.
I completely agree with this guy. The quality on this one is way better than the original. Thanks, way more enjoyable.
Yea, I originally uploaded from my cellphone. I'll never do that again. Like 8 hours and the quality wasn't there. Got home 20 mins and it looks a lot better, especially if you change it to HD.
I’ve been looking everywhere for those bluegill busters, and I can’t find them. I mostly fish for bluegills, shellcrackers, crappie, and catfish. When I can find either one. That’s what I fish for
Brother, me too. This video sold out the spot I normally get them from. I started a business, and I've got to do a couple of legalities before I can finish setting up shop, but as soon as I do. I figured out how to make them, and I'll make them and sell them. I'll make sure you get the link..
Ok, I appreciate you
Where can you order those Bluegill Busters
Hey, I'm sorry. I just saw this. I've actually got a bunch going on at the moment, all angled towards fishing. Starting my own shop, the ice season was non-existent here in Ohio, so I haven't been able to do much with the youtube since the fish went deep. Told cold for me to go out without a tent and a heater. I actually just formed a LLC for a bait shop, and I've done the research on these. That was a lot of research. The guy that I originally got them off, passed. I found a seller on Ebay. Which I had linked in the description of the video, but he sold out because of this video. Now his whole ebay account is gone. I will be making these. I will do an update when these start hitting the shelves, so even though they are gone from the earth to my knowledge at this point. They will be making a return soon.
I’m going to try this one out next time I’m on the water, it seems so simple!
Easy peezy!
I'm not very good at knots. My line always breaks. I'll give this one a shot. Thanks man, I've really been struggling.
It's a good knot. One I use very often.
Awesome knot. I think I'm going to have to try this
Hope you enjoy.
Great video!! What’s your favorite oz? Is it #4 that you were using?
They are #6, roughly 1/4 oz. That's my favorite size to use for walleye, and bass, but I've caught down to bluegill, up to 30 in catfish with them. I don't target cats with them, but they will strike them. If I'm targeting crappie and bluegill with them, I drop down a size, sometimes 2. If I'm going for pike or musky, I got up to the biggest size.
@@BloodKnotAngling thanks so much 😀
That's some good eating 💯❤️
Definitely top 5 freshwater eaters.
Where can I order that jig, thanks and God bless!!
They are sold out at the moment. You'll have to follow him on eBay so you get a notification when he adds new stock
#63 is sold out. I am sure he is happy you made this video. Guess I have to shop around.
I've been looking all over for another link. I did find the mold to make them yourself, set you back about $50 bucks, and 10$ for 100 compatible hooks, and the cost of lead and the cost of a melting pot, if you don't already have one. I'll be making them myself soon, because that's the only place I can find them, and I've been digging for hours on end trying to find you guys a replacement link. Thought about making them myself and selling them. I've sent a message to the seller, and told him I made the video (after he sold out) trying to figure out when he'd be back in stock, but I didn't get a response. Discussing it a little today with the fiance, and we will talk about it more, but I might end up making them for you guys. We shall see.
@@BloodKnotAngling Appreciate you sharing regardless. love the video. got you a new subscriber.
@@arthurcrawford2589 Thanks. Really excited to have you here
Checked this guy's ebay and don't see it. Does his stock change? Thanks!
He's sold out, you'll have to watch his page
SHOW OFF..LOL
Just trying to help some people out, that's all.
Went to the link and they seem to have everything EXCEPT the ones you're speaking of.
He's sold out right now sorry.
This is my favorite knot. I love your tutorials under the black light. Great video.
Thanks glad you enjoy.
Great video. Looks like your getting more subscribers, Awesome keep up the great work brother.
Thanks. Yes, they are starting to add up. I'm pretty excited about it.
Awesome hack. I'm trying this later today. Fishing has been pretty bad this season here in upstate NY. I fish the Mohawk river and it has been hit and miss. Catfishing at night is always good but trying to fill my freezer with other species too. Only can eat so much smoked catfish and fried catfish lol.
Hopefully it gets you some fish. Yeah, there is definitely only so much cat fish you can eat. Does that river have walleye? That's by far my favorite eating fish.
@@BloodKnotAngling Yeah we have decent walleye population. Best time for them is fall when they drain the lock system, so much easier to catch lol. Really like the back and fourth brother. Have a great day
You can make those,Do-It Molds has that mold,it's called Crappie Jig then just paint with fingernail polish an tie on some silicone "legs". I have a few lures that will put those to shame, one is a bought lure in a couple different colors but I'm going to start making them later on.The ones I have I bought over 25-30 yrs ago.......the other couple I pour and tie myself. Stick that overpriced garbage gulp where it belongs, back on the shelf or in the garbage. A 1/4-1/2" piece of night crawler is a lot better.
I was about to order one, but unfortunately they are out of stock. That's a bummer. Know of anywhere else that has them?
@@BloodKnotAngling Not without doing an extensive search I don't. Ebay,Marketplace,Craigs, search engines,fleamarkets,yardsales.. Everything is out of supply and overpriced since the covid BS started.
could not find them on ebay can you send the actual link thanks
He's sold out at the moment sorry.
Thanks for the tips!
You're welcome.
Cane pole easy no reel to deal w I use a fly rod in the morning dawn then go catfish
Can't complain with a day like that.
