This happened to me a year and a half ago on my 2020 MacBook by a hacker/cyberstalker and it took Apple a month to even acknowledge that there was anything wrong. When they finally did, they said to contact law enforcement. Unfortunately, they were also no help. When they finally removed it, it was reinstalled multiple times. It was then installed on the MacBook I bought to replace it. Now, it’s on my M2 MacBook Air. Apple is still completely useless and continues to claim they do not have the information on who deployed it on my MacBook and that I need to work with law enforcement. So, I just submitted my receipt once again (this is the third time). It’s amazing that Apple can’t seem to control this issue and that I still have to spend hours on the phone with them. Thank you for sharing this. Maybe Apple will finally do something if enough people talk about this happening to them.

What label maker do you use and where do you store it?

We've had 3 sets of these. First set was about 7 years ago, from Walmart. They are about $80 for the set with lifetime warranty. When the scratches appear, after about 2.5 years, we buy another new set, which is identical so far, and return the old set to the store within 30 days. We simply say we want a refund, with receipt. Boom...free and easy lifetime warranty exchange. I could probably go 10 years without scratching them, but my kids and wife are not gentle enough and tend to stack dirty dishes on them, scratching them while dirty. Sometimes while cleaning. The rubber handles will melt...you have to keep them from flame. We prefer to use bamboo utensils, and plastic minimally. We don't like plastic anything, but certain serving and cooking utensils have to be plastic. We prefer to have a white colored cooking surface because it's easiest to visually see what needs to be cleaned, and how items cook in it. Most nonstick pans are black, grey, or other dark colors...we don't think they are as good. If these ever go out of business, we'll simply stick to our stainless and cast iron sets that we also use. We don't really trust any nonstick surface products, because their profits make them lie, sooner or later.

Hi! My hair is very fine and long(mid-back length). Do you think a quarter size of the conditioner should be enough to cover my hair since its concentrated? Thx xx

And all this s***show while you were an ex-employee, had access to your ex- manager and had support actually following up on you. But most of the time this happens after one of those automated updates of MacOS (usually from Ventura to Sonoma) and people find themselves from a fully working laptop with a pop up warning once in while, to a useless slick brick. But it usually is a laptop you bought on eBay or in a shop or from your company and it's impossible to either have Apple to help, (they will take you money just to tell you to contact support, and support will need a guy that knows what he is doing, has access and takes the responsibility - managed support will usually ask you to turn it off and turn it back on). Also, most companies, even big ones, put a bogus number in the remote management window and you usually have no-one to contact, and even if you find it, support will demand that you be the employee and have an active account or they will bounce the ball around, play dumb and let you simmer in your broth while they swipe your case under the carpet for whatever corporate reason you may think of. When it comes to DYI bypass the problem can vary depending on Processor, chipset and level at which the remote lock was implemented, there are ways but they vary from writing a couple of lines in the terminal to having to unsolder the chipset and reprogram it on a bench, there is also an option to buy a second chipset on ebay, but then your serial number will be mismatched and usually if you take the burden =to unsolder your chipset you also take the time to reprogram it. Needless to say it's not a technique for the average user, and those remote management thingies are really a plague to the macbook second hand computer market. But there are hopefully several ways one can test before having to go under the hood, if you are still stuck I can point you in the right direction.

Hi I'm so much greateful for your content. Recently I updated my Mbp to Sonoma. Couple of days later I just Restart it and Enroll in Remote Management just appear after shutdown and it's from Amazon. I bought this Macbook last year in United States from a person. I'm actually suprized. Do you suggest me to contact with Amazon direclty. And it is remain in my system settings that I'm chosing later the other answer is enroll. The question is “Amazon Inc.” requires enrollment in Remote Management. I'm using my computer without a problem yet.

I’m going through this now. I tried to contact the company but they are no longer in business and apple won’t help.
