If I recall the explanation from our guides correctly, the elephants which had grown up in captivity had to be taught how to do basic things like find the water to take a bath after which they could then be left to do it for themselves when they felt like it.

Beautifully done, but you sure drove a lot of it. Missed a few beautiful villages and miles of trails. Seems that's almost the norm these days.
Mountains are awesome. Doesn’t mean you have to cheat death to reach the summit. Take up Billiards or Pickleball. Don’t make someone else have to risk it all to rescue your arrogant ass.
