@@KaiiLikeHawaii Ah I figured it was the GC version, but I noticed a few odd things. For example, on the title screen normally you get the "License by Nintendo" logo on the bottom left hand corner (your game doesn't have this for some reason). Another thing I noticed is that on your version is that the L and R icons (during the menu's) look different from the GC version. For example, on my GC version the L and R icons actually resemble the GC controller buttons. Your version just has generic "L" and "R". Same thing when you are in combat the "R" is just a generic "R" letter, but on my version it has the actual GC button with an "R" in the middle. Haha, I know its kinda weird that I notice such small details, but this is why I asked which version of the game were you playing.

@@diasflac0g that is an impressive amount of observations o: the reason all of those things are different is because it is the japanese version, 1.2 specifically. it includes normal grass assassin speed, belras shooting from the center of their body, and those hud changes along with some other small things.... like better luck .... :p

@@KaiiLikeHawaii That makes sense now. I didn't know that the JP version had those small hud changes. That's interesting. I assume that the JP ver 1.2 that you own is an earlier build than what we got here in the US? That would explain the "generic" L and R letters rather than having the full on GC controller button. I own the US ver 1.1. As far as I know we only got 3 versions in the USA. Version 1.0, 1.1 and finally 1.2 (Plus).

there is a different category called "all missions" for doing every quest. this speedrun just beats normal - ultimate difficulty.

It's not faster, but if you buffer your next spell then it's guaranteed to come out on frame 1. You can do the same thing with perfect timing, but the menu is way easier. Oddly, if you cast the first spell with the menu, it's 3 frames slower than casting the first spell from the palette. That's why I re-bind my palette in ruins, it saves a little time!

it's difficult to go fast, but actually completing a run is only hard during de rol le and dark falz for the most part. most characters can easily die to de rol le, and HUnewearl for example has just enough TP to kill it with foie 2, granted the mag has 6 MND. that's another hard aspect i suppose is feeding your mag appropriately and on time. if you just wanna do a run, you could probably accomplish that in 7 hours or less (my first run w/o any practice was 7 hours) and it's definitely a vibe :P actually getting a "competitive" time requires learning the map variations and optimal ways to deal with the enemies in them. you can time your level ups, manage your meseta, and play safe or play to get lucky. it's a very fun run imo! it can be a grind to get the luck you're looking for though.

that is such an intense story o.o it burns around you for days and eventually gets to you... are you well? all i did was sit and stand in the yard with another human and a cat and stare at the bugs birds clouds shade moon and sun... i had a splendid day lol

opening the menu makes it so i can't target anything, and that lets me run near traps/monsters without entering the slow walk animation. you can also cancel damage on a melee/gun attack by opening a menu before the hitbox comes out. targeting is strange in this game!

it has been really fun for me to learn it, even as a long time casual player. it let me enjoy the game in a new way! tasing it is borderline impossible atm cuz we don't really understand how the item seed functions. you could be a pioneer :D

one time i was sitting on the wall of a tiny dam and meditating. i like to hum om in a way that kind of buzzes, and hold it for minutes at a time. on this particular day, i was noticing that birds were rapidly accumulating in the forest across the water as i continued meditating. they were moving closer (i heard this because i meditate with eyes closed or only partially open towards the floor) and eventually started swooping right past me, missing me by inches. i couldn't believe how many types of birds had gathered. i decided to open my eyes and stop meditating, and i saw a literal vortex of birds circling above me for like 100 feet. they were swooping in and out of it, and as soon as i stopped, they steadily disbursed in any direction. i've had birds show up near me while i meditate plenty of times, but the swirling tornado of birds only happened once, and it felt very strange to witness.

@@KaiiLikeHawaii Quite interesting, and that's a bit of a synchronicity. I do OM chants too, never had anyone else tell me they've meditated before with that method. I've never had a profound experience such as yours though. That's quite nifty. I certainly feel just the vibration and the frequency from the Omms can certainly draw such a reaction you had from those birds. They must of picked up on your frequency and reacted. Sort of like sacred geometry when sound hits sand or water. Animals must have a certain reaction to it. How you described it and the visualizations remind me of how you see birds flap and move about on certain pivotal scenes in anime or movies if you know what I mean. Thanks for sharing.

Yep! There is a private server for every console it ever released on. Blue Burst is also very active on several servers.

@@FredLgrschtserv is alive and well, but they did have a travesty some years back where everyone lost all of their data... ephinea is a newer server that seems to be the most popular. ultima is great if you like mods and less grinding overall. personally, i have an account on ephinea but i don't play online very much.
