16:25 disagree, we didn't have a hard time giving up grease during the early part of the natural hair movement despite the nostalgia.
I like the Bee Girl Custard for definition, but for me it makes my hair too crunchy, which I didn’t like. I like the Big Poppa gel, but would be open to trying the 808 Base gel with the Mousse Def Texture Foam
What about fine hair is this suotable
Saw in store but really expensive
But does this suit fine hair
Wow! nice
nice discuss
I rely on the litttlextra neatfix hair finishing stick daily as it fixes my frizzy baby hairs in no time. It is infused with rosemary and fenugreek, making it beneficial for hair growth, unlike the regular hair gels I used to use. It has a mascara-like wand that easily grabs little hairs and smooths them for a smooth, shiny finish.
I've tried this combo you suggested here n it's actually the best combo I've ever used. Thank you for your service
Beautiful ❤

New subscriber here, I absolutely love this conversation. Thank you for the education you provide. 👍🏾👍🏾
Thank you for this ladies!
I want a looser curl pattern without burning my natural curls or frying my hair. Really my goal is to be able to wash and go frequently instead of worrying about frizz putting on pounds of gel or my curls shrinking up to my ears. I am tired of doing blowouts all the time or having to straighten just to manage day to day. It’s not as easy as some people make it seem like oh just wear your hair natural, natural is definitely maintenance like y’all said
Wrong- shampoo straight on hair
Chebe oil works for me, but I use it once every other month it keeps my hair moist. Also spraying water on my hair makes my hair happy. My hair is fine, soft, and curly. If I go without water my hair gets dry Really puffy dry. My hair didn’t fall out during COVID. Actually I was touring Israel When COVID came out. I get my stylist to cut my sideburns and don’t care for baby hair please brush those baby hair back. My hair Stylist and others say my hair is soft. I don’t know if that’s good or bad.
I've heard people getting hair transplants... like a surgical procedure for your scalp or hair...
Where can I purchase the updated curated product list and does it include hairsprays?
@@angelaparker7689 Hi! The most up to date list of products can be found in the SeeSomeCurls Visual Library. Visit blackcurlmagic.com to subscribe.
Thank you so much for this video because so many people make it seem like there is little to no maintenance with locs. I learned so much from this video and it helped me to decide to keep on with my loose natural hair.
@@GoldenGoddessOfSilence so glad you found this helpful!
It would have been nice to have seen clips of your hair after using the product.
Love, love, love Dr. Lenzy’s hair🫶🏾
Thank you for the video. I did the big chop 2 months ago. I normally were my hair out and curly, but today I slicked it back into a ponytail with eco gel. Will that cause a lot if damage to where for maybe 2 days?
Beautiful hair!
That's my new response...it's magic
I have been natural for 17 years, and I never used raw oils and butters as a regular part of my styling routine. I tried it once, and I noticed that after adding oil to the hair shaft, the styling product just sat on top of my hair, and my curls didn't look as good. I only apply oil to my scalp if I know I'm going to shampoo within a few hours. The products that I use do have oils and butters in them, but these products are water-based. I have used the same products (Curls brand) since I've been natural, and my hair & scalp have been healthy and thriving without using raw oils and butters. I shampoo and condition 1-2 times per week, add a leave-in conditioner, follow that with a liquid moisturizer, and then apply a styling product (either a curl serum or mousse). Daily, I rinse my hair in the shower and then restyle with the leave-in, moisturizer, and styler. This has been my routine for 17 years.
I love bee girl custard
ya'll did introduce the terms base and topper gels!!!!!!!!
I agree! I'm currently overcoming what I think about my hair.
Your hair being straight doesn't have anything to do with it. They're saying it and seeing it because your hair is dyed blonde.
Lol at that one twist all up in yo grill!
Using creams or foams with hold has been a total game changer! In the height of the natural hair movement people were using oils, butters and cream stylers with absolutely no hold and complaining about the lack of definition and the lack of style longevity. Let’s not fail to mention that many were air drying their hair and avoiding any and all kinds of heat These days you can find more naturals using stylers with hold and using hood dryers to dry their hair. Which results in more hold, definition and longevity. For more twist out + natural hair tips sign up to our email list unique-night-72884.myflodesk.com/vbjnb12456
I got a relaxer again and now all my problems are solved 🤷🏽♀️
This is great information & can’t wait to start having fun with my hair.. Thank you❤
I disagree. I just need to find the right moisturiser. Been natural all my life and never felt negatively about it.
@@notknown6605 That’s awesome you’ve never felt negatively about it. As far as moisture…you’re exposed to it every time you shampoo, condition and style your hair.
I love the shape of her hair shape too!
Your hair is beautiful and so are you!
Any thoughts about Innersense shampoo? Hair loss is trending on this product
@@samanthajones3049 I haven’t heard anything about hair loss. However, what I will tell you is if anybody would have seen hair loss it most certainly would be the hair stylists who use it religiously. Which alway raises my antennas to their being a user error. This is the same thing that happened with Olaplex and even Deva Curl. Hair just doesn’t start falling out…there are usually triggers that happen around it that are often ignored. I nor any of my clients have experienced any hair loss.
Is there a plan to return to the line and do a more in depth review based on how each behaved and performed on your hair? The website has a lot more information around how to best use it and I’d love to see another professional opinion. I of course can’t expect you to review treatments that you as a professional don’t need, but it would be interesting to hear how it behaves under a professional’s hands as opposed to a consumer’s.

This was so helpful to me on multiple levels. I went natural way back before it was trendy or all these products… let’s just say it’s been a lot and my self-esteem surely suffered. I’m so relieved to find out that hair depression is a real thing 😢 I’m not just lazy 😮My lacks of wellness and energy really does impact my soul/being😮 Thank you, ladies, for creating a safe place to just be and learn and to practice acceptance. It’s past time for this 60 year old soul to embrace self love with confidence.✌️
You have the most beautiful smile…and hair of course. Just a pretty lady altogether 😊
@@junegemmuahh6847 Awwww, thank you! You are far too kind!
Unhelpful
This still does address relaxers in the way I was hoping I don’t want to hear the side stories. The other lady you started this movement with was very direct and didn’t talk in circles. This was so unhelpful
@@hopeful9160 I’m super curious to know , what questions or concerns about relaxers were you’re looking for that we did not address?

@@hopeful9160 what do you fell like didn’t get addressed?
Dry or not, your hair is rocking!!!. It’s full, bouncy and exotic looking. I think some of those negative comments may stem from those who believe everyone with afro hair should use lots of oils and butters. Since you maintain that it’s not necessary, they say your hair looks dry.
I cut my hair to stay the same length bc I have short arms. It’s usually a zero degree cut at my shoulder blades. Maybe layers up to my ears at times . In 12 years of being natural I have only had my hair professionally done 3 times . I trust me with the heat . My press can last 3 hours , it can last 3 weeks. I never know .
Knowledge
A lot of the issue with people loving their natural hair (myself included) is it feels foreign which is weird for what grows out of your own scalp to feel foreign. I come from the generation where most of us had been relaxed from little girls so we never ever dealt with our natural hair until we were adults, some of us grown grown adults. We aren't used to seeing ourselves with natural hair, we aren't used to the styles and your hair does indeed change your whole look. So it's new for a lot of us to see ourselves with natural hair. Also, styling plays a big part because a lot of us are taught that the way natural hair just is isn't seen as presentable. It can be uncomfortable trying to love your look as a natural especially if you have the shrinkage prone, tightly coiled hair that takes more effort to be seen as pretty in everyday society. I have given myself grace in this area though. I don't have to wear my hair natural if I don't want to. If rocking my wigs and weave makes me, personally, feel more comfortable then I'm alright with that.
@@missalexyzjones I totally understand and respect your experience. Your whole experience is rooted in us not knowing or understanding our hair. When we know or understand our hair we become comfortable with wearing it. Culturally it’s not our fault. However when we’re ready to explore it Black Girl Curls is here to help navigate and hide tight curl + naturals
Your hair is beautiful
they may get that impression due to the blonde color. on natural hair it does tend to look dryer than darker colors.
