This is the easiest trick I will never ever once accomplish. Hours of trying, I just can't ever get it. This is a very informative video, I'll just never be able to get it, it seems.

Great tutorial compared to the others I've seen, but I still haven't managed it even once. it's super difficult, at least on an emulator :P I've heard it's only possible due to lag, and my computer aint laggin. EDIT: Oh I actually got it now. I think I just hadn't been moving backwards before. It's not obvious since you move backwards automatically as you spam Z :)
Fantastic advise, I have seen so many how to tutorials on this and I just never got it. Then when you showed the presses per second, I realized I've been pressing way too fast! Thanks man, hope you make more videos <3

if you mash at the right bpm you definitely should be able to get it within like 10 minutes of trying

Used to do it, can't anymore, maybe because it's a bad emulator config, or just because it's not the real hardware, definitly easier on the real thing

I've gotten it a few times by deliberately slowing down. Actually just tapping. I'm not good at though, just got it for the first time like 10 minutes ago.
Try to hold your controller differently so you can mash with your pointer finger instead of your thumb, i rest the controller against my leg and mash with my pointer finger

Why is the 50 star door so much harder? It takes so long to get passed the 50 star door but i can effortlessly get the 70 star door withi a couple tries

After playing this game for my entire life, I’ve finally done a BLJ thanks to this video! Once I corrected my BPM, I flew up the stairs!!
