isnt this more like softlock than crash? always if i crash a rom, the sounds going away and pj64 closes. in softlocks i cant move anymore but the musics still going..? (:
well softlocks usually still let you perform all actions, while in this video it looks like your inputs rather than being worthless (like by a forced movement lock) being not processed at all
@@Zombie1Kenobi I know some game crashes actually sometimes allowed the music to continue playing, but it’s definitely still a crash since everything is frozen and the game has stop working and it requires resetting or shutting off/unplug the game completely
I did this on a few SM64 ports, the 3DS and PS Vita NATIVE ports of SM64. In 3ds it goes silent for a sec, and then a crash handler appears (this also appears on regular crashes if your 3ds is hacked btw) On PS Vita, it kinda stops, then it says an error ocurred, and you exit from SM64, im pretty sure the Vita does this for other apps/games when they crash, since the pop-up looks like the Vita's ui
There was midorism64 who made the same thing a while ago, but not sure it's faster or slower: m.ruclips.net/video/-pErLO4pw-I/видео.html
Thanks for letting me know. as far as I'm aware they're tied, I wasn't aware of this video's existence before making mine.
I love how mario screams in pure terror, predicting the inescapable crash heading straight towards him.
Best Tas ever
I'm guessing the red square is the "erase" option?
Well, at least we know it works. In this run, it tried to erase the whole game from existence! D:
Green is check records, blue is copy, red is delete, purple is sound options (Mono, Stereo, Headset)
welcome back
glad to be back
Dude you're nuts
nooo mario nooo

I'm pretty sure this also crashes pj64, but the tasing tool I used (Mupen) doesn't actually crash.
