After the first ten minutes, we dominated the game, and then Roberts lifted both the crowd and the Sheff U team with a penalty miss that he never looked confident of converting. My heart sank when i remembered he was our taker. Despite all his talent, he will never deliver on a consistent basis. His confidence is too fragile, he can't or won't adapt and develop his game. He was going down the outside and actually using his right foot early season that's gone out the window. An eighteen-year-old kid on the opposite flank has more nous than him. He's in his prime if he can't deliver now he never will. RLB was indeed as animated as I've seen him in his sky interview especially when asked about the ref. He applied the double jeopardy rule at the pen. You don't have to issue a red for a tackle that results in a pen. That doesn't mean you can't. However, he can't then give Mephan a red for exactly the same offense because it's outside the box and double jeopardy doesn't apply. In fact, Mephan had a better case for a yellow than Robinson. Appalling piece of officiating and so far only Danny Collins has pulled him on it. Yes there were a lot of positives last night, decent ball retention most of the first half and Watson looks better with each game and we might not have deserved to win it but we didn't deserve to lose it but we have to sharpen up in both boxes.

It's a question of how much did Sheffield United not get going and how much we played to ensure they couldn't get going. I feel we were the ones who deserved to win and made sure Sheffield United offered nothing much. That is without Cirkin and Mundle, but with poor characters like Neil, Roberts and Hume and clumsy Ballard. This is very encouraging to think of the team in a different light to last season, but that of a team that is capable of play-offs. It's just the question of character to put it in each week for whole games.

I know that we have injuries at the moment that affect the makeup of the squad. I feel that the bench doesn't contain any real game changers. There is no pace or guile there to give teams something to think about during the latter stages. Playing the likes of Mayenda & Aouchiche out wide when they are not suited to that position isn't great but we don't appear to have the right kind of backup options in wide areas.

We played fairly good. We took it to them at there ground we looked on top for 80 minutes but just lacked the killer touch to hit the net im still gutted but im seeing more positives in this sides apart from u lacking the final finish I think we can get scoring goals right we can beat anyone team 8n the leauge but saying that we will play the 2 lowest ranked teams at home and draw one and lose the other lol

I’m usually the opposite of a happy clapper but I’m extremely positive about last night.. didn’t expect us to dominate the way we did. If you compare it to say the hull or Luton games which we obviously won I would say we were far better in this game. Yes we didn’t put chances away but shef utd are far better side than them. Against the side with the best away record in the league, due in no small part to the it's easier-to-destroy-than-create mentality of the head coach we were unlikely to create a whole host of chances. Earlier in the season we would've taken one of the few we did create. Fine margins. An outstanding block thwarted Rigg. Don't know what Dan Neil brings to the team. He just seams to ease through games without any significant impact on proceedings unlike Jobe and Rigg.

You can't say Watson was tired !!! He is just not ready he's raw & needs time to adjust to the 1st. Team from where he's at at the moment with th under 21s !!! It will come but he's not at the level of Chris Rigg or Mayenda

Worth remembering, 5 of our last 7 games have been away, and 3 in the last 4, so drawing those 4 games is hardly a disaster. The only really disappointment (result wise) was at QPR. And the home game was against coventry, and that hoodoo will flummox the world's greatest minds long after we're all gone. Injuries and suspensions to key players, and in all this, we're unbeaten in 9.

That is a decent point given the changes. Fatigue may have been a factor that made Luke O decide to maraud up the pitch. at the death, ludicrous. Out of position. that led to people being dragged across to the right thus the goal. Very, very poor. Hold what we have is a definite tactic and not solely down to the opponents pushing us back. Burnley, Boro it was evident but never more so than against a decidedly average Derby.

RLB didn't make subs even when he had experience on the bench. For some reason he just likes to stick with the starting XI even when the opposition have fresh legs on. He must think he is a genius by being different to every other manager - who all stupidly use their subs!!!

One of main things to work on is Pattos kicking. Straight out into touch time after time, he is a big powerful lad, why does he not do the long over arm throw at least try it he couldn’t be any worse.

It's dog eat dog we're not the only team to lose players to injury we gotta get on with it !!! The squad has to adapt !!! o.k. maybe we don't have the strength in depth but on our day we are as good as anyone in this league so we need to be optimistic about the rest of the season FTM
