The only reason I always join the stormclocks is because I can just turn around and change ulfric to a dule and then I'm in charge
Have you heard of the High Elves?
This wouldn't be happening if The Empire beat Ulfric. The Imperial Legion is the finest in all of Tamriel and Hammerfell Skyrim and Cyrodiil together could beat The Dominion.
Amusingly this kind of theater warfare wouldn't be possible or used like this. Traditional 'front-line', strategic warfare was only beginning to show itself in the Napoleonic era and most prior wars and battles are often singular, massive decisive battles using a small handful of large armies. There would likely be a lot more vast land swipes and carved passages of advance as smaller numbers of large armies invade territory and plunder the land before either retreating or being scattered by a counter attack. We don't see these smaller, gradual advances across an entire land until Industrialization and mass conscription of hundreds of thousands or millions of men.
Very true; I see each unit as more of a group of 4 or 5 soldiers and more so NPC type warfare. Just a bunch of dudes running around hoping to encounter something. A more realistic war in this timeframe would focus more on individual, decisive battles and masterful strategic plays. But map is map; map is pretty 😂
This channel is great
Nice work the pale
When the dragon born becomes arch mage (turns it into the dragon empire
I don't think whiterun would lose the throut of the world
Until the dragon born arrives on _____s Side
Looks like Talos really was with Dawnstar after all.
One day your channel will become a legend
Lol I wish! Thank you.
Funny to see after almost 13 years there are still people out here fighting over who is right over a fictional war. By the way the stormcloaks are right. And if any imperial sympathizers want too, I'm happy to discuss with them how they are wrong.
Dat Stormcloak Island in the north
The most boring region won ffs
There’s no way the Aldmeri Dominion could ever invade Skyrim nor vice versa. Even if the Thalmor controlled the rest of Tamriel they would simply fall apart due to being overstretched from constant rebellions in occupied human territories. Good video though.
You'd think the Dawnguard and Vigilants of Stendarr would be more proeminent
6:52 Do you get to the Cloud District very often?
Vote imperial and become a puppet state of the thalmor. Vote for the storm cloaks and maybe you have a chance of being a free people that isn't persecuted for there beliefs and race. The thalmor do not like you and the thalmor constantly attempt to kill you. The thalmor are stinky poo poo heads who drink Kool aid and look like spoiled fruit.
These mages can conquer all Tamriel !
The "fantasy" map looks a lot like Magyar
yeah, if serbia was full of mountains
general tullius sounds like jordan peterson
In my case It took like ≈120 playthroughs to realize siding with the Empire is the right call
You should totally do Morrowind between the different Great Houses (Hlaalu, Redoran, Telvanni, Indoril and Dres) maybe throw in the Ashlanders or the Sixth House Cult in there or something as well.
You can feel the chaos just by looking at the map, The empire was a mercy compared to this situation.
Skald the Elder is probably swaggering about going "I told you so!"
Империя - это благо для всех
I hate these time-lapse videos, why does YT keep recommending them?
Click on the three dots next to the video and then hit "not interested" or simply clear your watch history.
All hail to Ulfric, you are the High King!
Honestly the stormcloaks are as good as the empire. People seem to forget hammerfell, Morrowind and Balck marsh are all independent. Skyrim can ally with any or all including allying with the empire. Hammerfell has fought the dominion to a stalemate on its own, why wouldn’t the Nords ally with them? Not to mention they’d have a Dragonborn on their side and potentially friendly dragons in Paarthunax
Thank you, I’ve been saying this for awhile. Long live the Free Peoples of Tamriel! ✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻
There’s no point in fighting the Thalmor for the freedom of Tamriel only to have the continent under imperial rule. All provinces should be independent.
Typical rebel scum propaganda lol
That Haafingar offensive in the end was nuts. They just took The Reach so quickly
That's what happens when you finally breach Markarth.
Haafingar casually assassinating Whiterun out of nowhere will never not be funny
Amazing channel man! Love your vids
Hjaalmarch was a true survivor!
The AI is always so stupid in these. If the Reach had just finished off Haafingar they would have won so easily but they kept making peace with them
10:26 The remaining University of Winterhold units wanders around and disappears. It's cute.
If Whiterun had a nomadic culture of Horse riding warriors they could fend off encroaching raids from just about anywhere, the only people they'd struggle against is the Reachmen who know the mountainous landscape better than anyone and could easily take control of Falkreath and potentially push into the southwestern edges of the Rift at the base of 7000 steps.
Whiterun held strong
"The Empire must win; otherwise, it's a bad ending with the Stormcloaks." There are a few factors that no one takes into account every time they say that: it's the Dragonborn who defines the factions by choosing to side with one of them. Whether it's the Stormcloaks or the Empire, it's a win because the Dragonborn is in their ranks. They possess immense powers and the ability to summon dragons when needed, such as Durnehviir, Odahviing, or even use Bend Will to subdue others, not to mention factions like the Blades, the Greybeards, the Dark Brotherhood, or the Companions
Cool story but the last Dragonborn isn’t doing shit when he’s trapped in Apocrypha.
@@TastyMeat8675 Why would he be trapped there? After killing Mirak he comes back in to Solstheim afterwards. He'd only be trapped in Apocrypha for like a day at most.
@@DireMerc so then does the hero of kvatch not become sheogorath after the events of shivering isles just because you can continue playing as him afterwards? It’s called game mechanics
@@TastyMeat8675 Just because the Dragonborn becomes a Hermaeous Mora's champion doesn't mean they are permanently trapped in Apocrypha. The officials ending for the Dragonborn is just "the Dragonborn continued to explore the vast lands of Tamriel, seeking new adventures and challenges." There is no definite ending set for them in the lore.
@@DireMerc when has Bethesda ever had an elder scrolls main character not disappear into history after the last DLC? Every single game it’s “main character finished main story and dlc then vanished.” Everything else is left up in the air. What’s not up in the air is that even if the stormcloaks won in the game the main legion is ready to cross the pale pass once the avalanches clear up and it gets more traversable
Honestly just a tad bit surprised by the winner
Is this a win with the Imperial Jarl or the Old Fool
The best ending
This is my favorite video thus far! Not to many factions, but still plenty; the AI was able to focus on taking and holding it's territory from rival Jarls without having to deal with new spontaneous rebels that hinder them or worse wipe away everything and eliminate them from play. And numerous times the AI Jarls would effectively have peace with one or more of their neighbors for decades as they focused their attention elsewhere or on a mutual enemy. Its just the right amount of chaos, strategy (if you can credit the AI with that), and dynamism that I really love.
Can we get the second great war (whole tamriel, not just skyrim) scenario ? I mean, after the civil war of skyrim of course, with argonia and morrowind probably not involved since they're busy clash each other,so it's the aldmeri dominion / thalmor with the allies (valenwood and the divided elsewyr states) VS the empire and it's allies (High rock, hammerfell, and maybe the remaining nords or skyrim as whole ?)
Hello, please do the Akaviri Invasion of Tamriel or the Great War
Witherun holding this long is a testament to the imcompetance of the others Jarls
Whiterun would actually fair better considering its central location, it's part of why both sides in the Civil War want control of it so badly.
@@renaigh a central location means a high risk of facing several fronts at once. Not as secure as having some flanks protected
@@Duke_of_Lorraine you are thinking from the perspective of a defender on a map. Its central location is great for distributing troops to the front and it also great because it allows you to see the enemies from a long distance away. the second reason is why japan moved their capital from kyoto (which is surrounded by mountains) to tokyo (which is flat land.)
@@zachariahtuttle3543 that is an advantage of having flat terrain, not the central position itself. And while plains allow greater mobility, it also makes the terrain harder to defend as your enemies enjoy the flat terrain too.
@@Duke_of_Lorraine your not wrong but my point still stands it a good position logistically, regardless of whether it is hard to defend. Plus the enemy would have to have a lot of soldiers to make it hard to defend because of its central position.
This is basically how the Civil War would go without our involvement, the Stormcloacks would start strong because they have a home advantage and greater physical strength, but they’ll inevitably lose to the Imperial Legion, because none of that matters when faced with Battle Tactics, if the Legion can’t outmuscle the Stormcloaks they WILL outsmart them
"Battle Tactics" don't matter when you're overreaching and you're logistically exhausted, which is what the Stormcloaks could easily achieve with guerrilla tactics and a protracted guerrilla. The US had battle tactics in Vietnam, the Soviets in Afghanistan, and still they lost.
Unfortunately that wouldn’t apply here. Ulffrick is a tactical and strategic genius, capable of planning and executing brutal attacks with heavily outnumbered forces. There’s a reason why he was chosen to handle the Markarth Incident. The stormcloaks enjoy significant local support (more than the empire) and has much shorter supply chains. The empire on the other hand has minority support from local nords, the high queen is widely seen as illegitimate or a puppet, so they have to make up the difference with legionnaires; however, the empire can only spare a limited number of them and they do not know the lay of the land and have highly strained logistics. In game lore shows that Ulfrick had been hitting and devastating supply shipments for months , to great effect. More than likely had the Dragonborn nor the Thalmor (who wanted to prolong the war) intervened the Empire would either be forced to deploy additional legions to Skyrim jeopardizing its recovery and weakening its hold on other areas , or would be forced to retreat eventually. It’s just hard to beat someone with local support, similar tech, who already controls a massive amount of territory and is tactically brilliant. Plus most of the stormcloaks are former imperial soldiers who served in the Great War, so most are familiar with Imperial tactics.
This timelapse was made for fun and based on a map simulation game to explore “what if” scenarios. Let me know which hold you think would win in a real scenario!
The Stormcloak rebellion is stupid. There, I said it. If Ulfric really cares about the worship of Talos and beating the Aldmeri dominion, the correct move is to side with the Empire and help them recover. The Aldmeri dominion is already on the backfoot, they were forced to sign the white gold concordate because they were afraid they'd lose everything.
You mean the same empire that signed the Talos ban and allows the thalmor to enforce it? No, both the empire and the Thalmor for this blasphemy and they both should pay for it.
Man i really love your video's, keep going!
Thalmors didnt learn from the snow elves (how a little girl sets a chain of events in motion that would ultimately sent the snow elves to extinction).
