NJT’s 20800-900 series New Flyer XD60’s, based in Hilton, Big Tree, Fairview, and Meadowlands depots. Ordered for fleet expansion, to convert higher capacity routes in Bergen County to articulated routes, and to replaced the aged 2003-2004 Neoplan’s.

(From May 2019) A short showcase of NovaBus’s BAE Hybrid system, featuring stops, starts, and long stretches of running. From October 2019, Boulevard Direct swapped its LFSA Hybrid fleet for shorter 40 foot LFS Hybrid, moving the articulated fleets into local service. 7448 was one of the last LFSA’s to wear the BLVDDIR wrap before the route ran bare units.

Welcome to West New York! Seen here are NJT’s 165, 166, and 168 routes along Boulevard East. These are among New Jersey Transit’s heaviest carrying routes, running from Port Authority Bus Terminal up to areas in Bergenfield, Paramus, and Ridgefield. MCI D4000’s are the main fleet used on these routes, primarily to accommodate the high levels of ridership common for most parts of the day.

Why do the ones that run into New York City lack bike racks, while the local bus routes have them? Does NYC not allow bike racks on busses?
Port Authority is a very old complex, and wasn’t built to easily manage the 40-45ft buses that run into it today. Bike racks add an additional foot to the front of a bus, making it harder to negotiate the tight turns between gates in the terminal.
@@busnetwork8684 So they only have bike racks on the buses that don't run into the Port Authority Bus Terminal. They need to rebuild the ramps and Bus terminal to accommodate rack equipped buses.

As im watching this as a Bus fan I had to take notice to the GMC RTS BUS still going strong since 1981/ 1982. I remember when The N.I.C.E. BUS was delivered when as the MTA LONG ISLAND BUS. at THE NEW YORK CITY TRANSIT MUSEUM BUS FESTIVAL. I later which I had the pleasure to ride when i visited Hempstead Terminal. Via Long Island Railroad. 😀 🚌
Hello. This is my first Bus video viewing not many i watch im mostly a train fan. But i collect models of Buses just the same as i do trains. I have visited NJT FESTIVAL'S at Hoboken Terminal many years ago & enjoyed those events as im enjoying watching these fleets of MCI Buses. Glad to be aboard. 😃🚌
Noice vid! 3:15, I don’t think that should be open. Did the engine overheat? These busses are 20 years and starting to act up. That can be a extreme safety hazard and those doors can fly off at any moment, on the highway and hit someone car and cause a accident or they can swing back so fast at a point they sent the rear. I hope everything okay with the bus..
