I think flat crown is super nice, easier to install than crown, and pleasing to the eye. Did you know if you go back on a stroll thru time there was no crown? Shows up in the 1900’s more so 50’s forward? This is explained by Brent Hull, hull historic wood works! I was shocked! Anyway as always pro job !

Nice little project……I’m a new Subscriber and I have to say how nice it is to see someone use biscuits!!!! Not a knock on Festool. I was taught to use dowels in my woodworking. Dominoes are great but biscuits and dowels seem to be forgotten when joining wood.

I bought the M-12 and the Festool CX ( their compact drill) . Those are my go to for cabinets and finish like door jam ( roughs that might be out I cinch them up with a 3” screw). That’s where the CX shines it has some weight and power! But does not over drive like an impact can quick! The m-12 has power but it’s so light it can grab and twist quick! Like a 110 pound guy getting picked up and thrown 10’ by a 350 pound lineman! But it’s a fine tool for cabinets! Both come with angle attachments ect.,. Some festool stuff is bar none the best ! But that contractor saw is a mess! My Dewalt w/ the stand is the best in the field! I hv that saw Grizzly saw you hv the G0691 I think! I hv about 2 million miles on it and changed the belts a couple times but runs like a champ! Did you know there are only a couple manufacturers of the table saw motors ? And Grizzly uses one of the best! So here’s to u Griz !

    • @NE_woodworks

I’m very been thinking of picking up the Festool drill as well. Also yeah the Grizzly saw is awesome. I have abused that thing over the years. Changed the belts a couple times as well. But it’s a great saw. Been really happy with all my Grizzly stuff

Funny story ( I never caught your 1st name) anyway 6 mo ago I am hired to reskin a kitchen. I do 46 doors switching out old hinges for euro? Blum 110 degree and I took all the doors and drilled the 35 mm cups. The lady was great just missing the broom she rides? I mounted 4 big stainless pullouts , made a garbage bin cabinet after cutting into the counter and made a custom 37” delta sink box for a 160 pounder farm sink. She got made because I made noise? And when doing the crown she thought it was wrong? How I was mounting it? So the husband being a DIY’er took over and I got my check stating “ oh yeah super simple you got it”? Now they will not send me pics for my page? They will not talk to me? Last I heard it was not as easy as they thought it was?

4:51 so when you’re running a bowed board through on its face and you aren’t pushing down, does it flatten it by trimming the front and back down where it hits the cutters before the outgoing table, or does it follow the curve some still? I have seen people that say you have to glue boards down to say a piece of underlayment with shims to plane off the top of the curve to get a flat surface and then flip it over to get a flat reference surface and repeat. If you don’t have a jointer is this the method you would use?(DIY, not production shop) 6:10 edit the first part was answered already
