Hi there, great video! Do I need a preservative after adding the water to dilute it???
Hello from Greece ❤❤❤ please can you tell me how % must be the milk and how % must be the sodium hydroxide for this formula . Thank you so much
The music is very distracting
Can I use normal perfume oils like designer ones that contain alcohol? If we use this in the car wouldn't it melt in the heat? I am from Malaysia btw....
I would not use it in the car since it will be too hot. I think normal perfume oils would work.
Beautiful video..are we supposed to use ony dired flowers
I haven’t tried using other, let me know if other would work!
That was extremely informative, thank you so much God Bless You.
Thank you! ❤️
Thank you so much for the video❤❤, may i ask you, do you have try soywax and stearic acid combination? If yes can i know if it's have special characteristics or something and one more question can i use fresh plants as decoration?
Yes you can use soy wax instead, soy wax is slightly less hard and will melt at lower temperature. You would need to dry the fresh plants for it to keep its colour before using
Video is very helpful, thanks a ton. I have a query, is stearic acid is necessary?? Can we use bees wax and soy wax or paraffin wax 1:1. And tomake coloured tablets, what should i use
It’s not necessary but it makes the tablets harder. To add colour you can use mica powder 😊
can i use it as shampoo?
I think it will be a bit too harsh for the hair, maybe it will be better to use a combination of oils for the hair instead.
tks for the video as finally i can try cold processes liquid soap, will try latet
Thank you! Hope the video helps!
What are your quantities in your recipe please?
It is listed in the video where I went through the recipe on the soap calculator ❤️
תודה רבה. מקסים ממש!!!
Would do you make a liquid soap pH 7?
I wouldn’t because homemade soap naturally have a higher pH And pH doesn’t make harsh on the skin.
What is your liquid soap pH in this video?
Hi again when you said in this video look what its like after 3 weeks once its diluted in water, did you add a preservative or how long will it last once diluted please. Do i need to add a preservative im worried about mold.
I usually dilute small quantities as I go and leave out the preservative but you can always add germal plus if you are worried
@@TheScraftworks hi so how long will it last once mixed with water if i dont add any preservative and use as i go.
Thanks for this video you answered two of my questions, one was about preservatives after water has been added for diluting and the other was can the paste be stored then used as and when so i dont need to add preservatives. Thanks i cant wait to try this.
So happy the video helped!
Please share the recipe as to how much oil , water, and the potassium hydroxide thank you
The percentage is listed and it exact quantities will depend on how much of the soap you want to make and the purity of your potassium hydroxide. Better work safe when working with hydroxides! Using the soap calculator will help a lot❤️
pH?
What do you mean?
@@TheScraftworks pH 7?
What is your liquid soap pH in this video?
I just found your channel, watched 3 videos so far. I'm a Doctor in the USA and loved your videos. One of the first that really goes into the real details, scientific details of soap making. Thank you.
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️
I have a query, that if we use bees wax, it catches insects due to it's sweetened fragrance n they stick to the sachet. Is it true??
From my experience, beeswax doesn’t really have a sweetened fragrance to it. You can repel insects using essential oils that repel insects like lavender.
@@TheScraftworks ohkk thanks for clearing my doubt☺
Thank you. AMAZING 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you
Dilute it in what??...
Distilled water
Traduzione italiano
This is the best tutorial Ive seen❤
Thank you!❤️
No recipe, no measurements only a %
Yes the percentage are there for you to enter it in a soap calculator and the exact quantity will depend on the total amount you want to make and the purity of the hydroxide! Hope this helps.
what you did to avoid oil layer? something you said about superfats?sorry i didnt get it.
You mean to prevent it being too oily for cleaning? We kept the super fat at 1% to make it more suitable for cleaning.
@@TheScraftworks Thank you so much for clearing the doubt.
Very disturbing music
Thank you for your comment.
beautiful
Thank you! ❤️
I am making wax sachet the same way, but I don't know why but my sachets are cracking from the edges
I haven’t had that happened! I’m not sure why though.
Hello is this aroma tablet can used for a car hang
I’m afraid that sometimes it’s too hot in the car.
Hello is this aroma tablet can used for a car hang
I’m afraid it may be too hot in the car.
Is sodium hydroxide necessary? Or can I use freshly pumped milk? Also, how long is the soap good for?
Yes sodium hydroxide is needed to make soap. You need to freeze the milk or the sodium hydroxide will burn the milk. The soap is good for about one year at leastz
😆😅🤣great. this is the same process for making what is called JWA or JADAM WETTING AGENT - makes water wetter, so to speak. coconut oil is great for this. we make it but the process doesn't take so long because i don't dilute the potassium hydroxide which i have in 95%. i use my immersion blender and takes no more than 5 minutes to become like the end product shown here...blessing
Great that it works for you. I’ve never tried that.
Hello! I used a recipe very similar to this and the same steps, but instead of it going from a custard looking to a mash potato-ey (lol) it separated and formed something that looke like cheese curds, very granulated-like What my could have happened? 😢
You can keep blending, usually it will stop separating.
At what point of this would you add acid to lower the ph?
I used the soap as it is without adding acid to lower the pH. There’s no actual need to do that since superfatting make it nice on the skin. Thanks
@@TheScraftworks ok, but I'm trying yo achieve a 5.5 ph. At what point of the process should i add acid? Thanks for the reply, and I'm sure what you did is good, but I'm asking for a different purpose
thank you
Thank you
Please, my soap paste wasn't really paste like, its hard, but it dissolves and lathers well. Is it good?
As long as you can perform the zap test then it will be good to use.
My soap paste is hard, but it dissolves and lathers well. What could have made it hard?
Maybe the weather- colder weather makes the soap paste harder. Have you used the same amount of water that is in my recipe? Lower amounts of water makes it harder too. As long as it passes through the zap test I think the texture doesn’t really matter. Thank you!
Hi will it melt if its 90degree or above? What temperature will it melt? Thank you❤
It will probably melt if the temperature goes above 100 degrees Fahrenheit
I love your tutorial and helpful for beginners. But btw, what size eyelet are you use? Thank you
It’s about 5mm. Thanks you for your support!
Thank you for this video … will it work with kerasoy 4120 ?
I think so since you can make wax melts with it. 😊😊
Wow so beautiful thanks for teaching us Allah will bless you
Thank you❤️
How long till this soap goes bad?
I would say 6 months to 1 year depending on the quality of oils you used.
Do you have a link to a recipe w/ specific quantities available somewhere for this?
The percentages are listed to be entered in the soap calculator depending on how much soap you want to make❤️
Can you add gliceryn to this? If so, what percentage?
I haven’t tried adding glycerin but I think you can as it is water soluble, I’ll probably start with 1% to start with and work up.
3%
@@enamk4210 what about acid... How would i know how much to add to get a ph of 4.5-5.5?
Can I add colloidal oats and honey to this recipe, or will it make the soap too soft? If I can add oats and honey, how much?
You can add both, honey about tablespoon and oats about 1-2 tablespoons. Just soap at a lower temp in case the honey will make it too hot.
@@TheScraftworksThanks!
@TheScraftworks I want to try this recipe this week. What type of coconut oil do you use? Can I use virgin coconut oil? Also, I read that coconut oil can be drying and my baby gets dry skin. Can I increase the shea butter amount and decrease the coconut a little, or will that mess with the texture/hardness of the soap too much? Based on some research I did, I was thinking 20% coconut and 10% shea. But I've never made soap before, so...
Do you have a link to your lye?
Sorry not at the moment, I am currently buying from local store.
Please fix your audio mixing. The music drowns out your voice completely.
Thank you for your advice
Thank you Please how much PH it must be
I don’t think the pH really matters. As long it doesn’t zap on your tongue you can use the soap.
Thank you ♥️
Hey, my liquid soap made with a combination of 3-4 different vegetable oils leaves white spots/white film on the dishes and also does not seem to be cleaning oily dishes too well.....will I encounter the same issue with 100% coconut oil liquid soap?......any suggestions would be helpful as to why I am getting this issue. Thanks for the lovely video:)
What’s your superfat for your recipe? Did you use a few solid oils? I haven’t encountered that with coconut oil soap.
