If you want true authenticity go with the Pietta. Uberti has more safeties and a 3 click hammer cock rather than the original 4 click from the original Colt SAA.

Yo, you can visibly see that the Henry's action is smoother than the marlins. Also, marlin is made with better materials and has been proven to have better quality control. Not only that, but Henry's are also more reliable the only thing marlin had over henry was the loading gate and the more modern models with picatinny rails and the safety feature but now Henry has a loading gate a modern model with picatinny rails but still no safety feature on most which I thing is the way lever actions should be in the first place if you see someone who's got a lever action with a safety you know they got soft hands not to say that marlin is a bad company which they aren't if I had to get a lever action that wasn't a henry I'd get a marlin and if I couldn't get either I'd get a winchester

I got mine from cdfa what's supposedly was Super tuned 4 quick draw but the hammer still Too hard to cock for quick draw. Haven't heard back from them yet.

Do you know anybody that's good at reworking single action s 4 quick draw purposes?

Ruger should clear up this confusion mine says new vaquero but the word in front of it is impossible to read. Mine has a 4 lb hammer spring which seems excessive.

The Ruger may be able to handle hotter loads, but they don't make hotter loads, you have to load them yourself. And also, both pistols have a reputation for high-quality, the difference is that the Ruger is twice the price.

You have good taste in firearms my man, it’s refreshing to hear someone my age talk about revolvers instead of plastic 9mms. Sorry you haven’t had good luck with Uberti, I currently own 3 and they all run flawlessly, I’ve even ran Buffalo Bores heavy 255 grain 45 Colt which is going at about 950 fps as well as Grizzly Cartridges 265 grain through my Uberti El Patron with no issues.

Neither, doesn’t have the 4 clicks like original colt 1873!! I’m going with Californian gws Pietta emf!!

Uberti is an excellent reproduction. Only drawback is the furing pin system. Ruger Vaquero wt transfer bar is a modern adaptation allowing loading all 6 chambers. I carry one while bird hunting in Maine.

If you can tolerate the tube load feature I suppose the Henry would serve you well. Personally one reason I have never been interested in Henry lever guns is because they don’t make one model without tube load which I think ruins the whole firearm.

That cross bolt safety needs to go, I would imagine many deer have been lost to that thing, I have a 336 in 30-30 I pushed it to red one time and it has stayed there for years.
