He didn't win an Oscar because the 90s was the best era for movies. So many blockbusters came out. Guarantee of they did Oscar's like the rock and roll hall of fame, we would still be putting movies from the 90s up over the dumpster fires we get today.

Imagine this senario. The McFlies just pack up and FO out of Hill Valley, to a nearby city. Better jobs, more amneities. So many has done so in the past. That's why the west was settled. Why people FO-ed out of the East and settle in the West. Cheap empty land, new life, mineral wealth. And the family prospers while Biff still languishes in Hill Valley.

it;s biff's auto detailing, not repair. he cleans, polishes and waxes. maybe some dent/scratch repair. but that is not the same as auto repair. my question is if you are going to name your kid after your highschool friend who got you and your wife together why not make it your first kid?

I'm making a separate post about the paradox thing. There is an original timeline, one where up until the point of the first movie there has been no time travel before. Marty being the 2nd time traveler (Einstein being the first) does his thing, unintentionally making changes which will affect the future from that point. But it would not affect the original past. The movie got it wrong when it showed the pictures changing or Marty phasing out of existence. When Marty goes back to the future he is in that new timeline, forever making the original somewhere he could never get back to. His memories still exist from that and that proves that since he didn't change along with that new timeline he was never in any danger of being erased. The Marty from that new timeline that travelled in to the new past had a different experience growing up than original Marty. Lol thinking about it really makes me wonder how many variations of Marty there is. The BTTF game was a continuation of the movies and tv series. Bob Gale had a hand in the story and it dives into this theory. I won't spoil it if you want to play it, or you could watch the "Movies" people have made piecing all the cut scenes together.

The alcohol thing, yea that's a good point. But in that dance, George isn't even thinking about Marty at that point, He's in there with Lorraine and gets bullied for the 2nd time. He stands up for himself and Lorraine by punching out Biff. But it's not fully engrained yet that he doesn't have to be scared and that he can stand up for himself. He's standing there listening to her asking for help once more, probably feeling like a failure in that moment. But he's had enough, it finally clicks. He walks over pushes the dude out of the way with all the confidence in the world, kisses Lorraine and seals his fate and new temperament. I think this takes him from fantasy to reality, Darth Vader showing up was just a child's dream. He's in control now, a man in charge of his destiny...

The Matrix story has so many loop holes but one glaring problem I see is that space travel would be far more advanced by the time A.I is perfected so they would simply make a trip to Mars and live there.

Here is my theory: *What if Tyler Durden is actually Satan?* • Tyler's favorite color is apparently red. • He once tried to pull a Project Mayhem on God’s kingdom and then got slammed down by Michael. • Tyler described God as a deadbeat dad who forsakened him, because he is still sore about his defeat in heaven. • He clearly possessed Jack the Narrator, to the point where Jack doesn’t recall most of his crimes and scandals. • Project Mayhem is similar to the Church of Satan, they even act like each other. • Satan turns against his own whenever they turn against his evil plans first, Jack almost died by Tyler because of this. • Tyler leaves ritualistic burn-marks on his followers' hands, this is a reference to The Mark of the Beast. • Tyler's anarchistic philosophies were inspired by the quote "Do what thou will shall be the whole of the law."

I believe this entire movie from some point near the beginning was simply an intense and vivid dream. Everything is very dream like and I don't feel like there is any way to distinguish reality from fiction. One big clue for me is the phone call from Marla to a landlines phone at the paper st house that there was no conceivable way she could have had that phone number

I've been watching a lot of stuff on the Truman Show lately, and i think it would be an interesting tv show about what happened after Truman escaped. Truman confronts his wife, mom, and best friend. What he does with his life knowing everyone he trusted from a child lied to him. Who truly wants to make amends with Truman, who doesn't really care and is literally upset the show is over.

All the things that happened in later movies (scenery, world building, new characters) came from the books. I'm sure they were extremely hard to adapt. I think the filmmakers did a really good job considering the source material. I love Twilight, but looking at it critically, its not a great movie or movies. I enjoy them though! I feel like this video did not show me too much of why Twilight is so good, though. It showed me how the first movie is better than the sequels. Didn't we already know that?

If you watch the movie again, pay attention to the scene where Meryl promotes the Chef's Pal. Ever wondered about that awkward shot? Well, if you look at the scene much later on where they discover Truman has run away, Marlon pops his head out of a hole in the ground which is exactly the place where Truman was gardening in the earlier scene. He is digging his escape tunnel and trying to cover it up from Meryl! The implications of this turns the entire movie on it's head.

I think Jack was the third alter ego, the guy we never seen but was the who other person in the house where Tyler and his other self eventually lived, even though Tyler lives there before his softer self knew about the place. He was the one who did all the writing. After his apartment was destroyed remember Tyler was shown to have taken himself to that house. So did "Jack" live there before Tyler but Tyler never got rid of his stuff or his writings? Jack was the literary calm before the emotional storm
