If Morpheus was a machine being like the Oracle then Agent Smith would have figured that out when he captured him. Also machines have a distinct yellow energy signature.
Though this video is solidly based on what is presented to us... it's WRONG. Contradiction? Yes... but I'll explain. Several big concept ideas were scrapped or not explored to make the movies easier to digest for movie audiences. Here are my best guesses. Any 1st-year physics student (or rabid vegan activist) will tell you that it's enormously INEFFICIENT to feed animals to harvest energy.... it's much better to just burn the 'food' as fuel. So why keep humanity alive? What the machines really need is human creativity... specifically the creativity to make newer, better algorithms. That's why the Matrix always reboots to the 20th century... it's a time of the information age and also oppressive enough that hackers are prevalent. THAT is why they don't just eliminate any chance for Neo to exist... they NEED that creative hacker (and mainstream programming) culture to help THEM evolve. After about 100 years, humans get too sophisticated and can find ways to break free so the machines reset everything. This begs the question... why do the machines NEED humanity? I'm guessing is that (computer) viruses have evolved to the point where they proliferate and evolve on their own. Note how disgusted Agent Smith is at the thought of viruses. He was insulting Morpheus with the worst comparison he knew. The machines lack the creativity to detect these viruses or create effective countermeasures. They never tell you exactly what 'Mr. Anderson' works on at his job. He's one of many programmers working on endless projects assigned by the Machines.
The Matrix story has so many loop holes but one glaring problem I see is that space travel would be far more advanced by the time A.I is perfected so they would simply make a trip to Mars and live there.
Does anyone remember that old original Twilight Zone episode where that guy who ‘neglected’ the power of electric appliances,, and it ended with him being driven insane, screaming as his appliances chased him 🤖😂

Being not trans and not too quick on the uptake of subtext, the trans parallel flew right over my head when I was a child. However, upon learning about the interpretation, I can definitely see how the story relates to the trans experience in a society that doesn't acknowledge their existence. There is a pretty big slap in the face for the existence of the subtext though. Neo and Trinity are androgynous as heck.

There aren't many films out there with such a unique and ideal opportunity to portray self identification. Shame they left it out.
