The green robot eraser is very clearly based on Getter Robo, and the ships, especially the orange one, reminded me of early 30s Buck ROgers ships, the rivets in them suggested old time or retro style.

You bring up such good memories! I had the star team dumb robot and the x-ray girl. Didn’t the dome of the robot have a lightbulb in it that flash on and off? I also had several micronaut toys which I loved the best of all. The rocket tubes sucked, though!

Please tell me you know what this is. When I was a little girl back in the 70s, I had a little toy spaceship that looked like a wasp. It was purple and had suction cups on its feet and its ice turned and it dropped the grappling hook out of its mouth. It also had what they called a bug bomb that dropped off of its middle legs. Their was several others like a black spider, but I never owned one of those. It reminded one of the graphics on the side of the galaxian arcade game. As an interesting note, I have a miniature version of that galaxian electronic game that I still have to this very day! If you can give me any information about the purple wasp spaceship I would be thrilled! If there’s one vintage toy I want to buy that is it. I dream would be to have all of them which I think they made for all together.

Wow, great video right out of the gate. Just left me feeling both lucky as hell to have been born at exactly the right time and sad that it's gone forever.

No mention of how the Starbird came apart and could be put together in different configurations? And those little tailfins were removable fighters? (And by "removable" I, of course, mean "losable.")

I never knew that Mattel Mork figure was released without the eggship. Never seen a picture of it. EDIT: I've tried to find it on-line and I can't. I also think the card looks off. It might be a custom.

I owned the starbird. It was a fun toy. Lots of playability.

12:23 - 12:40 See the tiny bot with a little blue book, I had one of those, can't remember if he did very much, but it was 'powered' by either one AA or two AAA batteries and I got him out of the Argos book. I also liked the nod to the intro to Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. Nice video, look forward to the next one.

I had a couple of Firestar 1s in grey. Didn’t know they came in other colours. I think those are the only thing I had of this particular line though.

Uh, correction: There were three TRON Lightcycle vehicles produced, a yellow one, a red one and a blue one. I know this for a fact because I have the blue and red lightcycles myself.

I had Zem 21 and always wanted Zeroid and the ship. I didnt care a lick about them being Star Wars knock offs. They were just cool toys to me.

BigTrak, Micronauts series II, and UFO Commander 7 were dope as hell.

Not sure when i first saw the Rascal Robots but there were similar wind up walking robots long before Star Wars.

Always crossed played with my Star Wars, Micronauts, Metal men, Shogun Warriors and various others.

The Vin-CENT figure was a solid one with lots of playability. the head opened and closed, as well as spun. The legs could extend or collapse. The rest of the figures were very meh. As was Maximellian.

Before these toys were sold in stores Milton Bradley tested their toys with kids back in the 70s. I was in middle school and I had gone to school in Longmeadow Massachusetts, the president of MB had a daughter in my class. We all were paid $5 I believe to go to a room at the company's plant in East Longmeadow. We were put in a room that had all of these toys. I specifically remember picking the Big Trac. It was awesome!

I have 4 of the Rascal Robots among my old Star Wars figures to this day... Still work!

Anybody remember Laser Force?

I had all the Power Lords figures. They seemed huge compared to the typical Star Wars figure size. Also, I’m surprised you didn’t mention the Robo Force half-hour animated show “The Revenge of Nazgar”. It was a pilot for a regular animated series but it never got picked up. I recorded it on a VHS tape I watched many times, but I believe it was only aired once, and to most of the general public it was lost media for years until it was included in a DVD set for the Gobots cartoon.

There was a mattel toy line of astronauts and vehicles prior to star wars that was popular. Major Matt sumthin ....Around the same time as the gi joe toys. Really cool stuff. Some media on RUclips, and vintage items still on eBay.

No Micronauts

Being a kid in Poland I had several Galaxy Warriors figures. And I was happy! I would probably go to my family and ask if some of them are still there, I recvall even having some weapons.

I had the Star Fortress, when I was a kid. I remember it came with the plastic space men.

So in the late 70’s I came across a toy display with my grandparents in the local Woolco. They told me I could get shogun Godzilla or great mazinga. It was n o contest! I still own Godzilla to this day. The kraken was advertised in a store called consumers distributing but was never in stock. I still have my Perseus and Thallo from the line! Fantastic review!
