By gosh, you're right! They went on to Nintendo when their initial toy lines wrapped up and they needed work :-). Great observation! I will never look at Mario Kart the same. Thanks!
I love this, I had a strawberry Shortcake figure gifted to me by a girl in 1983 on the last day of school. Turkeiha walker, was the girl that had a crush on me, and gave me the figure to remember her by. Lol, my cousin give me the evil cook to chase Strawberry Shortcake. Thanks for these memories, and I've subscribed .💯♥️👍 Time stamped 6:09am (3-27-23)
Lol, I liked these toys after a girl gave me a Shortcake figure, I would like Rainbow Brite, CareBears and my little pony. I had to play with my little sister, because my brothers wouldn't.
Strawberry Shortcake was my absolute favorite and my husband remembers them as the only toy line, besides Star Wars, that his older sister would play with him with. She would let him play if he played as Smurfs because the worlds were similar enough. He said he always chose the Smurfs with swords or things like that, so we included pictures of some of those in our "Little Folks" video. Siblings😊. Thanks for the comments!
Yeah. She would either play as Princess Leia with Star Wars or we compromised and I played as Smurfs when she wanted to play Strawberry Shortcake. I liked that pirate Smurf guy 😎. A three year old is not really good at discerning what is bada$$ or not.
How about Jem and the futuristic looking barbie Doll ( Futura)? It was a shiny metallic doll, kinda like a Silver Hawk and bigger. I had a cabbage patch doll too...
there were two Chrome Space dolls, Spectra by Mattel and Aurora by Tonka Aurora had candy-colored hair, sequin eyes, and was highly jointed, but her portions were slightly off so she couldn't were Barbie clothes Spectra was Barbie sized and had tinsel in her hair, and her neck was kinda long both dolls scratched and collected finger prints easily, but sadly neither was very popular - the were super cool
I like how Strawberry Shortcake & Rainbow Bright's bad guys are proto Waluigi and Wario.

I remember those! Those metallic dolls were pretty strange. I think a Sci Fi vid is in my future. Thanks for the comment!

Aurora. I don't know that one. I will go look that one up right now. Thank you for telling me about this.
