Oh it’s such a sweet game, and very very good. I played it last year, toward the end and it was a delight. Hope you enjoy it, I wish I could replay it for the first time again… many big feelings!

Yes they’ve done it so well… and from hers, which is so valuable to the game, cause she’s always infront of you, to a random badger you might not see, or a twirl of snow being randomly pulled up by wind. This game is a love story to good graphics and animation

Oh yes yes and yes yes… it’s so beautiful and I was terrified it would be hard++++ but the balance of this game never ceases to amaze me. They hinted to more, but I guess making another game was also good. And another dlc. There will be a 3rd game I hope. I don’t know what the second one story is, but I hope… or at least from this studio

I heard about some quality of life improvements and n the game play of the new game but nothing on the story and im so excited to try it… dlc first, nothing like a good snow in this area! My goodness it’s pretty. The story is amazing, and so within our times… a bit scary. Very well written including ng side quests

​@@Blairsette your aim is not your fault. The fault is in the dead-zones games put into joysticks to prevent drift. I hated using single shot weapons when I was gaming on consoles. But when I switched to a PC I made a controller that takes out dead-zones. It is a game changer. Infinitely more accurate. Everything is smoother, even when not shooting. I don't have this remaster. I heard Steam offers an anti-dead-zone app for this game. You might check it out. I think it is in the launcher for this game.

How fancy? How do you make a controller? I’ve never really been good/practice enough with aiming, so I know I’m better at close combat type of games… but this game forgives a lot thankfully. It’s really an unmissable experience and the difficulty levels I’m sure allow for more people to play it…

​@@Blairsette you might try mouse and keyboard. Before I made the controller I was switching between the two, for accuracy or smoothness. You actually move around like you are used to playing with a mouse and keyboard. But this game is really made for a controller. That is why I think you miss seeing things; you turn the camera too fast. A mouse is a position controller. A joystick is a rate controller. So your rate is limited by software making it easier to see things. That might sound technical because I am an engineer. How I made a controller is I repurposed and Xbox Elite controller. Replaced its micro-processor with another. Wrote some software and there I have it. I posted a video on the results of removing dead-zones. In the description is the processor and libraries I used and the fundamental method. But that was a prototype. It has evolved considerably since. I don't use a mouse and keyboard because of the keyboard. I want granular movement. Not the on or off behavior of a keyboard.

Funny enough before I used to always set down my movement speed on both axis before starting a game. I think the more I played the more I got used to the speed. But if I do move too fast I should just do those 2 settings prior to any game. I tried mouse and keyboard. Have you seen those dogs that you put shoes on in winter and their walk all awkward? That’s me with mouse and keyboard. The person encouraging me to play was on the floor laughing… I’m that… bad and weird 🫣🤭 That is amazing. How incredible would be if you could produce it in mass and sell it. Because the tendencies tend to go towards controllers.

The last 3 episodes were all recorded on the 9th after the update… so the bugs I pointed out are after sadly…

@@Blairsette I learned about the upgrade through Digital Foundry video "Indiana Jones and the Great Circle PC - The FULL Ray Tracing Deep-Dive". They did not report any game breaking issues. You might, just before quitting, uninstall and reinstall.

No no it’s not game breaking, it’s just annoying. Very few games I play have any glitches, let alone visible ones like this… so I’ll just wait until they at least fix a few… but I’ll check that video, thank you! Feels like I can learn a lot from him and I’ll do that install uninstall too. But now right now…

I did in this one, with the same logic, and I don’t like how it looks. It’s less clear. But no worries I just got a new one… it’s 4k 60, and can’t wait to test it out. I’m excited… a bit too excited 🫣🤭

Oh yes I found the skill connected to my health, and the one for switching those add ons on the weapon. I don’t realized until I found it that I wasn’t suppose to switch them, so far was just putting a weaker one and used the stronger ones 🫣 oooops. As of now I still don’t have it unlocked, it seems the game goes faster than my need for upgrade points. As for the recycling one, that’s waaaay to many upgrade points for me to afford 🤭 Oh and that’s a wonderful thing to be able to switch yours skill tree. I experienced in in Stellar Blade and Black Myth and it was so easy to move things around and be able to tackle bosses differently. It’s just more fun

@@Blairsette yeah it is just not fun when it feels like your time is spent thinking about game economics. That's why getting that armor early is popular. It doesn't make you invincible. But you won't have to think about berries unless you are reckless. In Forbidden West you can reset your skill tree. It is a good thing because the skill tree is way more complicated. It also incorporated weapon upgrades from Frozen Wilds. You still have a finite pouch size. But you now have unlimited inventory. You just have to go to places to fetch it. The stuff you pickup automatically goes there when your pouch is full. There's more complexity in crafting, and hunting for parts. In particular, if you are not careful, you can destroy the part you are seeking. In both games, it is fairly important to use the right tool. Forbidden West scanner is a lot more useful. Like with Zero Dawn, you get a popup on the intel of the machine. But in addition, if you press your options button it will take you to an entire encyclopedia of the machine, and their variants. Yes, now there are variants of the same machine. That's important. The variant may have different strengths and weaknesses.

@@0x8badbeefoh it wasn’t so bad. I didn’t see it as economics, more like strategy. After all, I didn’t need to spend hours killing all those machines which normally I would have… but this pushed me to think strategically and sneak a bit… how very Alien of the game. I don’t go crazy for stealth but when used well I enjoy changing the rhythm of a game… All those sound like amazing upgrades of a game that I couldn’t find flaws in. How cool, same looking machines but different powers. Talk about being on your guard. That’s amazing. I’m really enjoying this one and boy I can’t wait to get into the other one too!

@0x8badbeef oh I just edited Horizon again after uninstalling it like you suggested and it was flawless. It was very scary but I took all the precautions and all saves where there… I never had a game go bad randomly, and there were 2 envidia updates too, so who knows but it’s perfect! @@Blairsette that's great. I've seen the game do things that are unexpected. I change something in Graphics and it changes the setting in Display to 24Hz on occasion. But for me that is obvious because it normally is 120Hz.

My camera records at 25fps… it’s a 4k 25fps.

@@Blairsette In that case you can save yourself a lot of disk space and upload time by making what you upload 25 fps.

@0x8badbeef no, I record the games at what fps they play, overall at the best capability of the hardware. Which is pretty capable. Most games I play at 60, I check that prior to recording, something while recording, but you can’t see that. I also edit in premiere and can see the stats it recorded at. So maybe Neva was 30, that game had 2 settings for graphics and I played it at max… but I play other games that are recorded at much higher fps. Aside of me, I do have someone helping me with tech support when/ if needed. So I’m not alone to constantly check everything runs as smoothly as possible… Thank you for the advice

Yes ofc they couldn’t really do anything else and time was a huge pressure. In her office we find out that it was worse than predicted too. And she did all she could and one way or another, despite all the negative maybes, she succeeded… There are humans, plants, fish and animals… and some crazy gazelles that have murderous intent 🫣🤭

Knowing my gameplay the rooecaster won’t be something I’ll use often. I’m a hot head and go in battle head on, so defensive techniques often get forgotten. The freeze yes yes I should absolutely use more often. If nothing else because I love the way machines look frozen, but also because you now told me I’ll do 3x damage… I’ll look for the shock canisters too. And I’m not sure how the corruption arrows look but I’ll find them. I might just give in a google the last power cells… and probably, the plan is if I get too trapped in the game and go to the end to still do at least one more cauldron. The dlc too, it’s in the snow area, right? Those are my favorite in games, so I’ll probably do it

@@Blairsette Yes there is only 1 power cell left lol 😅 its amazing you found them Ah yes also amazing, not just you, alot of people just go straight into battle, incredible I saw one play on Very Hard when she gets frustrated with her bow she just whacks with spear I think you have done well you can prob can finish the game

Oh thank you! I screen shoot everything to take my time reading… haven’t been to the cauldron yet, the main story was too interesting to follow but you are right.. Oh yes I need one more and I’ll take your advice and watch the video because it’s really don’t want to miss it. But there been audio sync issues (in the game) really weird. So I won’t record anymore until they are fixed. I’m hoping they will put an update by Wednesday so I don’t interrupt the game, let’s see and cross some fingers 🤭

Yes I will use it more cautiously, took me a sec to figure it out. But it’s great. I use it now in combination with fire for machines and precision for hoomans… While demanding in resources seeing those pieces of machines shed off it’s very satisfying

Just want to add - many, many Horizon players do this, we jump alot to shoot cos of the free slow-mo time that comes with jumping Also works with sliding For Glinthawks, shoot them with fire arrows and once you have shot enough fire damage to them, they will burn and drop to the ground, makes them sitting ducks while down there I have one Shadow Hunter bow with 3 fire arrow mods, one shot immediately makes Glinthawks fall. Also great on Sawtooths (the tiger machines), Snapmaws (the crocodile machines) and Stormbirds (the giant flying bird machines)

@@Blairsette I tried testing it to show you but my D-pad always had a mount available. Each time I called it I killed it. But my D-pad always had another for me to call. But I know that has not always been the case if your mount is killed. But that could be a skill level thing; my skill is maxed. Distance doesn't matter. In fact, there are places your mount can't go. So I go on foot until I reach a place they can go and call my mount. So, you can fast travel to more than one place to override a mount so you have a spare. I found you can't override more than one in the same place.

Btw, you can use your mount to attack, R1/R2.
