I am glad for this video because GEEK Squad from Best Buy told me I could not replace the keyboard in my MacBook Pro 2015 and they basically told me that I needed to buy a new laptop. I knew different even then so I didn't give them their new sale. So thanks to you I now know for sure it's possible to change my keyboard and how to do it. Thank you for this video. Thank you for this nice video! I was wondering if the screen assembly of a a1425 model (late 2012) is also the same as the a1502 (early 2015)? My screen has a line in the middle and i still have a old a1425..

Great video! Any recommendations on which replacement logic board to purchase? (My 2012 or 2013 MacBook Pro 13”, with i7, is non-responsive. No lights or fan sounds. The logic board has some white oxidation, which was removed with a touch of alcohol and compressed air). Is the problem likely only the logic board?

What is this metal screen piece that you removed that was attached to the rubber. I think I may have damaged it. I need a replacement and cannot find it. I had to order the rubber replacement but that long strip attached to it, I'm not sure if it comes also with the rubber. Please help and letting me know what part this is. I can't find it.

The keyboard holes cannot be threaded/screwed after keyboard is removed. Anyone else run into this?

My fans are running full blast, resetting PRAM and the other thing didn't fix it, no more startup chime after two failed El Capitan installs. And i have to press the power button, unplug the charger, plug it back in, release the power button and press it again just for it to power on.

Tha k you. I found one 9f these outside in a park. I picked it up and took it home thi king I was a lucky guy. I bought a new charger. I put my DVD in it. The DVD jammed. So I decided to tak it apart to get the disc back. I had to open the whole thing up I got my disc. I couldn't put it back together so I took it to a local technician to put it back together for me. He charged me $100. He put it back together bit he told me the motherboard died and it was going to cost me $300 to fix it. So that's $500!

Hi Milan, my camera on my A1398 laptop stopped working after replacing a speaker. I may have damaged the cable while removing it, as the camera ID still shows up in the system information, but the green camera light blinks and the camera is black. There is no visible damage to the cable. I've tried doing an SMC battery reset and nothing solves the black screen. To replace the Camera cable I would have to remove the LCD as you are doing in this video. What would you charge for this repair? I have a new camera cable, is it worth trying to do myself? I'm assuming I'd need to buy a new LCD as I'd crack it removing the original. I can not find a new LCD for the A1398 anywhere online, only the full-screen assembly. Would you recommend just replacing the whole assembly? Of course, that would be the most expensive way. Please let me know what you would recommend. Thank you.

This hurry-up-guy ruined my MAC. Mine would have been fine, Easy battery replacement, easy touchscreen replacement. Like SUPER Easy. But don't try to replace keyboard. Don't go on RUclips and watch the guy that was in a hurry.

I have a Macbook Pro 2011 I had to open it for some cleaning but I broke the cable that connects the mouse (Trackpad) with the motherboard since then I use an external mouse. But my problem is that my keyboard gives me delay when I press a key and sometimes I have to press very hard. help me please

Thank you for your guide what temperature do you set your heat-gun? I'm always afraid of setting it too hot and damaging something. But if I set it too low, the glue doesn't melt and I have to use more strenght to take-off the screen (or battery or whatever I'm trying to unstick)

Hi, I just ripped the keyboard out, but only the head of the bolts broke when I ripped the keyboard out. So, I basically have no holes in which putting the screws, as they are filled with the bolt. Any advice?

If the webcam cable breaks (the part that plugs into the logic board is kind of fragile), you would need to take out the screen to replace the cable.

Milan, this video was fantastic! Thanks for sharing it. I’ve one question. There’s a small, blue sticker on the end of my keyboard connector terminus: at the end of the ribbon that inserts into the logic board of my MBP Retina, 15”, mid-2015 model laptop. Are we supposed to remove that sticker to install the keyboard connector into the logic board connector? Or do we leave the sticker in place? And what happens if you remove the sticker when you connect the two? Thank you!

Thanks to your video I replaced the keyboard in my 2013 MBP 15”. Everything went well except 13 keys aren't working. The failed keys are grouped together, forming loose groups. Perhaps that indicates where I went wrong. The ribbon cable connector maybe. Any ideas? 13 non-working keys: F4(/Apps), 4, 6, +, R, Y, F, H, V, N, ?, Space Bar.

Great video. Keyboard works great, however I have 6 left over screws lmao. I'd like to note that you should wear safety glasses when popping out the keyboard. I rivet flew into my eye like a mini bullet. Luckily it hit JUST right at the corner of my eye.

This guy do it so quickly but is a pain in the ass without experience, fuck apple! everything is glued on this days.
