How do you program the different tones that you can transmit over GMRS? I also have a Uniden sds100 scanner, and have a GMRS radio, the wouxun KGQ10G. On there, I think it’s called side tone or something, and then there’s a setting called alert where you can change the different pitches of the tone.

He's on social security and I helped him buy the SDS 100 on payments through PayPal and he was super excited to be rocking his new radio and he was going to charge the battery and he used his keys to pry it open and it snapped in half; of course he was devastated and unable to afford to pay for the repairs through "Zip Scanner"(where he bought it) & it was expensive, I saw your RUclips video and did precisely what you said and successfully fixed it in mere minutes. And I can't fix anything , I can disassemble all day long...... It's putting it back together that I can never get right. Thanks brother

I would love to just know what my department pager tones are instead of waiting for us to get a call and if we do I’m certainly not gonna have time to right down what the frequency of the tones are as I’m running out the door lol

I have heard that in China they sell a Chinese company scanner that does DMR, PHASE 1 and 2 Digital Simulcast and sells for under 100 dollars Basically equivalent to the Uniden 600 plus the keys to add the other formats That cost another 150 dollars But, it can't be legally sold in America I am trying to figure out how to get one to test it out

I did find a replacement parts non uniden on line for the SDS100 battery compartment door with just a simple search

to back out quickly and exit simply hit the avoid button altogether so that way it's much more simplified than having to use the menu and backing out manually to quickly exit just simply hit a void and it's all done no need to keep hitting the menu button over and over again just thought I would share that little tidbit of information

Just a heads up. Uniden now only allows you send the unit it to repair it. $85 better spent elsewhere. You can buy composite clips on E bay.($9 for three). Great video thank you.
