I’m Girish Menon, and I help people find joy through photography 💕
I teach photography courses online. You can be based anywhere in the world, and still learn photography from me, how cool is that!
The beginner’s course consists of 6 hours of live One-on-one training, that time can be split into 2 or 4 sessions. You can even do it all in one go if you’re short on time.
I will show you how to set the exposure and click sharp photos with any DSLR, Mirrorless, or Bridge Camera in its manual mode. You will be able to click a wide variety of subjects such as people and portraits, food and lifestyle, nature, landscape and wildlife.
We can even create customised advanced courses for you so that you can explore your area of interest even further.

Eye level photos of birds are the best!
@@asing126 Yes, it's important to click living creatures from eye level rather than pointing the camera down on them Thanks for commenting 😀
Cute birds! Did you click these from a boat?

What a ferocious looking hyena from so close! How close were you?

@@asing126 Thank you
I recently brought an 80 400 Nikon lens. I use a D750. On crop mode, it is effectively 120 600 mm.
@@sri420in That's not true. It's still a 80-400. Whether cropped sensor or full frame, the camera body doesn't magically change the focal length of a lens. What that means is that it cannot produce more magnification than what's possible
@@TheOpenImage yes, I understand the concept.
@@sri420in I have never used a teleconverter on this Nikon 80-400 lens, but it works decently well on the Canon 100-400 IS II lens and I have a video about it ruclips.net/video/uvsT9nxjje8/видео.html
Wow what a ferocious tiger 🐅

@@sri420in Thank you so much for commenting 😀
Surely with the 1.6 crop factor of the APS-C body AND the 1.4X extender, that's an 896mm lens?
@@Audit-The-Auditors the 1.6 crop accounts for nothing. 400 mm is often not enough to click close up images of birds. For all practical purposes it's just about 560 mm with the extender
Nice capture 😍

Just a question, do you use single point for birds in flight as well?
@@magnusjonsson1316 Yes
@@magnusjonsson1316 But you also need to look at your focus tracking options
@@TheOpenImage ,Thank`s I have always used middle point with three supporting points but I will give single point a try.
@@magnusjonsson1316 If you set your focus tracking lock correctly it's kind of the like having those extra assist points

Just the video i was looking for. I was just curious to see if the 7d mark 2 was still the right choice in 2024 for wildlife. I have not shot much in the last few years and have fallen behind with the advancement of mirrorless technology. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

@@sri420in In the next few weeks I will be posting new videos with complete details of all the camera settings and behind the scenes activity. I'm sure you'll find them useful
The exact settings of a picture isn't of much help compared to knowing the process of how to set up your camera for a wildlife situation. You will find many videos on my channel that take you through this process on Canon and Nikon cameras, which is pretty much the same for any camera 📷

@@neftalibenitez1165 Thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate it. I hope you have lots of special photo opportunities with your new camera ❤

@@sri420in Thank you 😁
It’s not because you didn’t use a filter it’s because it’s a pumper. Every time you zoom in and out with that design it’s going to be prone to suck in dust. Even more so if it’s done when off the camera. People over obsess about dust inside of lenses. Unless it’s in huge amounts your images are not going to see any huge impact. If anything you may lose a bit a contrast at most
@@pluggednickels7321 Yes, that's true. However even a little dust kills its resale price 😄
@@TheOpenImage I have sold 1000s of pieces of camera gear over the years and I always cringe when I get that question of dust in a lens . It is usually from people that don’t understand that once you start using a lens almost any lens it will be prone to have some amount of dust in it even at the microscopic level. Even more so when they will take bright flashlight and look at the lens for dust. Yep you are most certainly going to see some dust. It doesn’t matter how clean the lens may be of dust. These folks are never going to be satisfied. If a lens has that much dust in it it’s best to just keep it and use it as you are right you will take a huge hit on resale value unless you get an educated buyer that knows dust is just a reality of using a lens or camera.
@@pluggednickels7321 🤣
I like to sell my 200-500mm.. if any one..
